Many players are head over heels for the newly-introduced B-100 Portable Hellbomb. This Stratagem arrived in the Servants of Freedom Warbond and it caused thousands of accidental team kills just over the weekend. Still, it’s extremely fun and efficient. Unsurprisingly, Helldivers 2 players found a way to make it even more extreme, as some discovered that it was possible to make a Hellbomb trebuchet. Is this safer or even more dangerous for your teammates? The jury is still out on that one.
How to Make Your Own Hellbomb Trebuchet
So, everyone agrees that a Hellbomb in a backpack was a genius idea. However, once it’s activated, you’ve got ten seconds to clear out, or you’re toast. With this Stratagem still being quite new, many players have been accidentally triggering it, or poorly communicating that they have done so. Countless lives were lost.
One player, LieCreative, came up with the idea of launching the Hellbomb, and the community rolled with it. Some players had catastrophic results (they died), but it seems that many players managed to get the desired result.
Basically, you call down the Anti Tank Emplacement, arm and drop the Hellbomb backpack on the exact same place, clear out, and watch as the magic happens. When the AT-E opens up, it will fling your Hellbomb.
One player, Sam Kuo, showed off what they achieved in a YouTube video. Sure enough, this player followed the steps and launched the Hellbomb. This was followed by a huge explosion, as expected.

Helldivers 2 Players Now Love the Hellbomb Even More
We weren’t all that surprised when we saw the Hellbomb trebuchet trend taking over the Helldivers 2 community. Players were quite excited to give this idea a try and many succeeded in this venture.
Equivalent_Cicada153 noted: “I’m loving the fact we are now starting to find synergy between stratagems, weapons, and armors”. Bubbly_Background_77 added: “We have come full circle on technology, gentlemen”.
Of course, some Helldivers were sure that this was the intended use of Portable Hellbombs. Other-Barry-1 stated: “I imagine it will go like this: “Oh look! Someone did the thing we made these Stratagems for in the first place!”. As in they developed these weapons to be trebucheted but didn’t tell anyone and just waited until we figured it out. I love this game so much”. It would be amazing if that were the case.
