Silent Hill Townfall: Sci-Fi Ending Walkthrough

Silent Hill Townfall has a secret Sci-Fi ending that requires you to find 3 Strange Books and obtain a Strange Access Card from a very elusive puzzle in the Shorefront Hotel. Below, we’ll guide you through the entire Silent Hill Townfall Sci-Fi ending process so you won’t miss a thing, and so you know when and where you can get every key component for the quest. We’ve even attached the ending cutscene if you’re curious about what happens!

The Sci-Fi ending is exclusive to New Game Plus, so you won’t be able to get this ending in your first playthrough.

Sci-Fi Ending Overview in Silent Hill Townfall

Find Strange Book #1 in Zoe’s House in the Shorefront District – South.
Solve the hotel symbol door puzzle in the Shorefront District – Different for the Strange Access Card.
Find Strange Book #2 in the Hospice Store in Clara Woods.
Find Strange Book #3 in SWDP – Different.
Use the Strange Access Card in the basement of SWDP – Different.

How to Get Strange Book 1 in Silent Hill Townfall

Strange Book 1 can be found inside Zoe’s House during Part 1: Arrival. After returning from the Otherworld, head to Zoe’s House (opposite the Newsagent) and go upstairs. In Zoe’s bedroom, underneath the bedside table, you can find and examine Strange Book 1. Make sure to examine it before leaving!

How to Solve the Hotel Puzzle and Get the Strange Access Card in Silent Hill Townfall

In Part 2: Zoe, pick up Richard’s Gift as Simon to enter the Shorefront – Different. Once everything is red, head into the Hotel (shown on the map above) and go upstairs to find a door marked with 25 symbols that you can press in the following order to open:

Bird (column 1, row 5)
Tree (column 2, row 4)
Planet (column 4, row 2)
Bird (column 1, row 5)
Trinity (column 2, row 3)
Sputnik (column 4, row 5)
Sputnik again (column 4, row 5)
Fish (column 5, row 1)
Spaceship (column 3, row 1)
Planet (column 4, row 2)
Dog (column 1, row 1)
Monument (column 4, row 3)

If done correctly, the door will open. You can now find and pick up the Strange Access Card found on the bedside table. Now, just progress through the game as normal until Part 4: Clara Woods.

You will use the Strange Access Card in the last step, so don’t worry about what it does for now. We’ll explain it for the last step!

How to Get Strange Book 2 in Silent Hill Townfall

Strange Book 2 can be found in Stenhouse End of Life Hospice Care in Part 4: Clara Woods. The building is already unlocked, and you can find it opposite the phone booth in Atlas Square. Enter and take an immediate left to find a bookshelf where you can examine Strange Book 2.

How to Get Strange Book 3 in Silent Hill Townfall

Strange Book 3 is found in SWDP – Different in Part 6: Simon during the final puzzle to unlock the container. To begin, you’re going to want to solve the Relive the events of the CCTV / Remote Systems Control puzzle (which you can do with the guide linked here).

Once the Remote Systems Control puzzle is done, you can freely interact with the console to unlock room 621 (if it’s not unlocked already). Now, head down the stairs into room 621, opposite Valve F’s room, where you can find Strange Book 3 on the shelf.

How to Get the Sci-Fi Ending in Silent Hill Townfall

Once the Clamps puzzle has been solved, interact with the red valve to free the container, which will open a shutter door for you to enter. Progress through the hallway as normal, but before entering the closed door, you will find a keycard reader on the left wall that you can use the Strange Access Card on.

Once you use the keycard reader, it will turn green, and you will get the text: I feel sluggish. Like I need to wake up. Now, enter the door and the cutscene will play as normal, before it suddenly cuts to the Sci-Fi ending, which you can view below:

The game will end after the cutscene, and you will be rewarded with the Pistol-3000, which can be used on all future New Game Plus playthroughs.
