We Followed the Traps to Find the Survivalist in Control Resonant

As players progress through Control Resonant, one of the main story quests will task them with heading to the Evacuation Zone, another region in Manhattan. Here, players can find a parking lot outside of which there is a file. Interacting with it reveals the investigation order and starts the Urban Survival quest, where you have to find the person setting up traps around the area.

This is one of the longer side quests in the game and has multiple objectives. The guide below has a complete walkthrough for the whole quest.

Finding the Person Setting Up the Traps

As you enter the parking lot, you will find several enemies as well as a plethora of mines set up. You can avoid these by dashing past the impact or simply running forward at high speed. These mines deal damage to the enemies as well, so you can lure them toward the mines to make things easier for you.

Once the enemies have been dealt with, you need to exit the parking lot from the opposite end from where you entered. As you exit the parking lot, head left, dealing with the enemies until you spot an entrance to the building, outside of which are more mines.

Head inside and talk to the person on the intercom. The survivalist inside will argue with Dylan about leaving his bunker, and you will be interrupted by some Hiss enemies. Deal with them and continue your conversation with him. He will ask you to bring back his Granny and Olivia. Both of their locations are marked on the map, so you can go for either one first.

Since the Gym on Main Street is closer, go there first, and you will find several enemies outside, causing the entrance to the Gym to be blocked. On the same street, you can also find the Konstig shop, which has a puzzle giving access to one of the secret hideouts.

Once you have dealt with the enemies, head inside the Gym and enter the first door on your left to find a plant on the desk, which is Olivia. Now head on over to the Survivalist’s home.

Enter through the main entrance and use the elevator to go up. Enter the room on your left and search around the house to find an ashes jar on top of a table behind some shelves. Pick it up and go back to the Survivalist Bunker to place them both by the door.

Finding the Brother

The quest is not over yet, as he wants you to find his brother now. First, you need the apartment key, which is to the north of this area. Grab the car keys and head on out. Once you reach the location, you can use the Fob to find out where the car is.

Instead of looking around all the cars to identify which one it is, use the Fob once and look at the minimap to spot a marker that disappears shortly after. Go to it and grab the apartment key.

With the key in your possession, go to the apartment, head up the elevator, and enter the brother’s house. Once you find his brother, grab the memento from the ground and take it back to the survivalist.

Once you talk to him and place the photo, the quest will be completed, and you will get the Plate Carrier M1 (Outfit) and Untapped Heart Monitor (Artifact Recipe) as the rewards. Check the side room now to get some Source and an Aberrant Shard as well.
