The Legend of Zelda series has some massive releases in store for its 40th anniversary, and the celebration is already kicking off later this year. Although the Ocarina of Time remake is the big gaming release for The Legend of Zelda‘s 40th anniversary, there are plenty of ways Nintendo is celebrating the iconic franchise. Between releases like books, figures, and even a Zelda concert tour, the coming year has a lot for fans to get excited about.
One of the most anticipated Zelda 40th anniversary releases is the special Nintendo Switch 2 themed after the franchise, which is set to release on October 29. This special edition console not only features a unique design on the system and dock, but includes exclusive Joy-Con 2 controllers, making it a great display piece as well as a functional gaming system. For Zelda fans and collectors looking for a more vibrant display piece and are willing to shell out the big bucks, the perfect item is releasing later this year.
Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom’s Decayed Master Sword Statue Costs $599
First 4 Figures and Nintendo are teaming up to release a 1:1 scale replica of the Decayed Master Sword featured in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. This life-size replica comes complete with a display stand of Gloom rising up toward the Master Sword, like that found in the depths below Hyrule Castle where Ganondorf awaits. The Master Sword and Gloom also include LEDs to add realistic light effects to the display. The specifications for the Decayed Master Sword statue are listed as:

While pre-orders for the Decayed Master Sword statue are currently open, there is no firm release date outside of a Q4 2026 window. As that release window rapidly approaches, fans can expect a firm commitment from First 4 Figures as to when they can expect their statue to arrive.

The game’s opening sequence sees Ganondorf’s Gloom destroy the legendary Master Sword down to its hilt, leaving Link defenseless against the Upheaval of Hyrule and the Demon King’s return. As a result, Link’s arm ends up severely damaged, to the point that King Rauru bestows upon Link a magical right arm capable of using the power of the Zonai.
Despite costing more than the Zelda 40th Anniversary Switch 2 console, the scale and detail of the Decayed Master Sword statue make it an ideal piece for fans of Tears of the Kingdom or the greater Legend of Zelda franchise.
