Fighting Sanemi Shinazugawa is not for the weak and faint of heart in Demon Slayer. Akaza’s Limitless Potential Could Make Him a Threat to Yoriichi
Among the Upper Moons serving Muzan Kibutsuji, Akaza is undeniably one of the most troublesome opponents a demon slayer can face on the battlefield. After all, his passion for fighting powerful opponents drives him to grow stronger, making him one of the most formidable demons with incredible potential in the series.
The more Akaza enjoys the fight, the more determined he becomes to push himself beyond limits and overcome his opponent. He even overcomes death by decapitation, allowing him to continue fighting despite suffering what should have been a fatal blow. Without a doubt, Akaza would give Yoriichi a challenging battle, with his powerful blood demon arts and seemingly limitless endurance.

Gyomei’s Strength Could Make Him a Worthy Opponent for Yoriichi
Gyomei Himejima wouldn’t be recognized as the strongest Hashira of the Taisho Era if he were not powerful enough to stand against an Upper Moon or a legendary swordsman like Yoriichi Tsugikuni by himself. Yoriichi Never Faced the Full Power of Demon Kokushibo
Kokushibo, formerly known as Michikatsu Tsugikuni, lost the chance to defeat his brother, Yoriichi Tsugikuni, in a real battle in Demon Slayer. Though he was the last opponent to face Yoriichi in the series, he still failed to kill the legendary swordsman, who ultimately died of old age while still standing in the middle of their final confrontation.
While Kokushibo has always been inferior to Yoriichi in terms of swordsmanship and demon-slaying skills, his demon transformation granted him extraordinary abilities that made him a far more dangerous opponent. If they were given a chance to fight each other for real, their battle would certainly push both brothers to their limits until only one of them remains.

Muzan Survived Yoriichi Through Sheer Desperation
Muzan Kibutsuji is the only demon known to have canonically survived Yoriichi Tsugikuni’s wrath in the series. He nearly died at Yoriichi’s hands, but his quick thinking and extraordinary demon physiology allowed him to survive the encounter and recover from his devastating injuries. This encounter traumatized Muzan so deeply that seeing Tanjiro’s Hanafuda earrings brought back his memories of Yoriichi and the fear he experienced during their confrontation.
What Muzan thought was an ordinary demon slayer turned out to be a legendary swordsman whose overwhelming strength and mastery of Sun Breathing were enough to tear the powerful demon apart.

Demon King Tanjiro Would Give Yoriichi His Toughest Fight
Tanjiro is the only Sun Breathing user of the Taisho Era. He knows how to perform all forms of Sun Breathing, although his executions are still less powerful than Yoriichi Tsugikuni’s. Nevertheless, Tanjiro’s mastery of the Sun Breathing Style makes him one of the strongest swordsmen in the entire history of Demon Slayer.
Meanwhile, Tanjiro’s Demon King form becomes the strongest version of himself, granting him unrivaled physical strength, immediate resistance to sunlight, and rapid regenerative abilities. If he were to face Yoriichi in this ultimate form, the battle would be far more challenging, as Tanjiro’s enhanced abilities, in addition to his mastery of Sun Breathing, could allow him to survive, or even surpass, Yoriichi’s incredible combat prowess.
