How to Make Money Fast in Dying Light The Beast

How to Make Money Fast in Dying Light The Beast

Dying Light: The Beast has a ton of secrets to uncover and things to buy from merchants as well. Some of these tools, gadgets, and weapons can be expensive, and drain the players’ money in seconds. All that hard-earned Old World Money just vanishes after hours of intense farming, so it can be frustrating when Kyle Crane’s wallet hits rock bottom.

To avoid running short, this Money Farming guide will help players make a ton of Old World Money fast, so that they can purchase every Gear piece, every Blueprint, and stock up on Crafting Materials, Ammo, and all the things they need to survive in Dying Light: The Beast.

How Farm Money in Dying Light: The Beast

Farming Old World Money in Dying Light: The Beast can be tricky, especially if players don’t know where to start. The amount of cash they can grab from dead Infested, and by looting certain items called Valuables (Medicine, Jewels, Parfume, etc.) is not an entirely reliable source of income, unless they know the exact methods to get loads of these items, to sell to Merchants located in Settlements.

So, let’s start by summarizing the best items to sell to Merchants, depending on how much money players can make:

  • Valuables (Wine, Old World Vodka, Whiskey, Smartphones, Parfume, Jewels, Asporfin, Morphine, Antibiotics).
  • Guns (Rifles, Pistols, SMGs, Shotguns).
  • Rare resources (only in extreme cases where players need money fast, and there’s nothing else to sell).

In every case, the better the quality (from grey-normal to yellow-legendary) of the items sold, the more money Merchants will pay for them. So, the goal here is to obtain lots of Rare, Epic, and Legendary items to sell for tons of Money. Let’s take a look at the first and least risky method to farm Old World Money.

Fast Money And Rare Valuables Farming

Library Square Apartment Money Farming Dying Light The beast

There are two locations in the Early low-level Areas of the Village, near Town Hall, that can be used as farming spot for Rare Valuables, especially one that is close to the Library Tower Safe Spot. Dark Zones can be reset by spending a day sleeping in a Bed, then going to the Library Square (Sq.) Apartment to grab all the valuables on the first floor, which is easy to clear.

Then, after that, going back to the Safe Spot to reset, and repeat. It is a simple farming route that will rack up Valuables in no time, allowing players to grab some extra cash before going into the mid-stage of the game. This works better the more the players progress with the story, since Valuables increase in quality depending on the level of the player.

Money & Exp Farming (Hardcore Method)

Dying Light The Beast farming Volatiles at Town Hall

Moving up to a less conventional and a little bit Hardcore Method, this farming strategy makes use of the Beast Mode to eliminate strong Nocturnal Infected like Volatiles, to collect resources and Valuables from their bodies, especially MRE Rations and Morphine, since these creatures seem to carry lots of them.

The secret for this method is to unlock the Town Hall (one of the earliest settlements in the game) and wait until night. Go through the main exit (not the lateral one) and head for the middle of the plaza. Start beating zombies until the Beast bar is almost charged, then, turn the Flashlight on and draw the attention of the nearby Volatiles. Dodge them and run towards the UV light under the entrance to the Town Hall, and once there, trigger Beast Mode by hitting or dodging the enemies, then kill as many Volatiles as possible until Beast Mode drains, and then dive under the UV light to cancel the Chase.

Once the volatiles are gone, collect the loot from their bodies, then enter the Town Hall, sleep until morning, fill up the gauge, then go back in and sleep until night. Repeat the previous method until Kyle’s pockets are filled with Valuables, then sell for Old World Money at the Town Hall merchant.
