I’m very sorry, Mungrul and other pixel-combers – I have once again failed to hide a smiley face in the header image for our latest weekend Wappity. Instead, I have cheekily hidden a few upside-down frowns in the curiously tart and succulent descriptions of my absent colleagues, below.
As for those of us who were not absent when this round-up was rounded up on Friday, here’s what we’re all doing this weekend.
James
Maybe some Jump Space? I’ve played this chaotic space crew sim with both real, meaty friends, and the little quipping robot you get to put out fires when you’re bereft of co-op partners, and the robot was better at the game than my friends in every measurable way. I don’t know how to tell them this, or indeed, if I should see them ever again.
Nic
Nic gazes at you impassively as he methodically peels apples at his cottage table in the witchy woodlands. His face is as still as the mountainside. But what’s this? The apple peel between his hands has arranged itself into a happy rictus.
Ollie
What else rhymes with Silksong? I’m running out of ideas…
Jeremy
It’s impossible to make out Jeremy’s expression, for he is sailing up and down the playground on his skateboard. He swipes the can of fizzy apple juice from your hand as he crests the ramp. On the way back down, he pulls the ring and draws a smile in the air with the golden spray.
Mark
A bleary Mark opens up his kitchen cupboard and is deluged in falling apples. He reels backward and accidentally yanks open the fridge. Another deluge of apples. There is a knock at the front door. Mark goes to answer it and a grinning postwoman upends a bag of apples over his head.
Edwin
It’s going to be a mixture of Endless Legend 2 and Silksong for me, plus some unexpected Mass Effect spin-off novel reading for a podcast (I will avoid naming which in case it all goes sideways, but suffice to say it’s run by old friends of the Treehouse). Also yes, I still have 100 foraged apples I’m trying to use up, how can you tell.
