Oftentimes, Star Path duties only give you vague instructions to work with in Disney Dreamlight Valley, which means you might be unsure how to get them done. This is the case with the cook some pumpkin-based meals quest.
There are nearly 500 recipes you can cook up, and this number grows with fresh updates and DLC additions, so finding the right ones to satisfy this mission can be tough. If you’re not sure what to make, here’s how to cook some pumpkin-based meals in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
What are pumpkin-based meals in Disney Dreamlight Valley?
Pumpkin-based meals are all dishes that specifically call for a Pumpkin as one of their signature ingredients in DDV. There are many dishes that allow you to use any vegetable, which technically means you can choose a Pumpkin, but only recipes that must have a Pumpkin included in them count for the purposes of this Haunting Elegance Star Path duty.

Cook some pumpkin-based meals in Disney Dreamlight Valley

To successfully finish the cook some pumpkin-based meals duty for the Haunting Elegance Star Path event, you need to cook a total of five pumpkin-based dishes. This task is fairly flexible, which means you can cook all five of the same meal or instead mix and match between a couple of different ones, as long as the recipes you make are officially classified as pumpkin-based dishes.
If you’re looking for the easiest options that count for this task, I recommend making Halloween Gingerbread Cookies or Pumpkin Puffs. Halloween Gingerbread Cookies are a good option if you’re low on Star Coins and want to focus on ingredients you can grow or find in the wild, while Pumpkin Puffs are the better choice if you have Star Coins to spare and are willing to buy most of your ingredients from the pantry at Chez Remy or Tiana’s Palace.
Finishing this duty gets you 15 Tokens to spend in the event. This isn’t a whole lot to work with, so you’ll likely need to tackle some additional duties to claim most rewards. Some good ones to focus on next are hanging out with the patchwork villager from Pumpkin Town, taking a photo of the Pumpkin King’s door, cooking some Whimsical Pies, picking up wood materials, and selling green veggies.
