Tokyo Game Show 2025 is set to kick off on September 25, but Capcom has already dropped an early showcase revealing more details on some of its upcoming games, including a detailed look at Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection and its online multiplayer options and quality of life changes. Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection includes a full lineup of beloved Mega Man games and is set to launch with major updates in 2026.
The first three Mega Man Star Force games, Pegasus, Leo, and Dragon, were originally launched in 2006 for the Nintendo DS and kicked off a brand-new subseries within the Mega Man franchise. Capcom continued the series with the release of Mega Man Star Force 2: Zerker x Ninja and Mega Man Star Force 2: Zerker x Saurian in 2007, with the final entries coming in 2008 in the form of Mega Man Star Force 3: Red Joker and Black Ace. While Mega Man Star Force 4 began development between 2009 and 2010, it was later canceled. Now, over 20 years since the debut of the first trilogy in the spin-off series, the Mega Man Star Force games are finally making a comeback with a Legacy Collection.
