A Genus Insight in Aion 2 is a mechanic that increases the stats of your Pets. There are five categories for Pets and Genus Insight in Aion 2: Cogni, Fera, Natura, Varian, and Special. The Genus Insight you unlock and upgrade is separated by these five categories, so the stat boost your Fera Pets get differs from what the Varian Pets get, and so on.
Genus Insight In Aion 2
To open the Genus Insight system, do the following:
- Open your main menu.
- Choose Pets.
- Navigate to the Genus Insight section at the top of the screen.
Next, you’ll find the pets grouped under the following categories:
- Cogni
- Fera
- Natura
- Varian
- Special
Each Genus Insight category is leveled up separately, so it’s best to prioritize leveling the pet you use most. For example, if you mostly use Cogni pets, then focus on leveling Cogni Genus Insight first.
How To Level Up Genus Insight In Aion 2
Here are some ways you can get Genus Insight EXP in Aion 2:
- 500 Genus Insight EXP: Obtain a pet of the Cogni, Fera, Natura, Varian, or Special type, depending on which one you want to focus on.
- 250 Genus Insight EXP: Reach Pet Insight level 2.
- 250 Genus Insight EXP: Reach Pet Insight level 3.
- 100 Genus Insight EXP: Analyze Genus Insight.
Any EXP a pet gains also contributes to that pet’s Genus Insight category in Aion 2.
To analyze any Genus Insight, choose one of the five pet categories and press Analyze. Each Genus Insight analysis costs a bunch of Soul Crystal and Kina, which you obtain during your exploration in Atreia.
Unbound By Genus Title In Aion 2
Reaching level 10 with all types will give you the Genus Genius achievement, which unlocks the Unbound by Genus title in Aion 2. The Unbound by Genus title grants the following buffs: 4.5% PvE Damage Boost, 34 Attack Bonus, and 68 Critical Hit.

Genus Insight Stats In Aion 2
If you roll a stat that you like, you can lock it and roll the others you don’t like. This will increase the amount of Soul Crystal and Kina needed for each re-roll.
Furthermore, you can do an auto analysis, where you can fix the rarity of the stat you want from minimum to maximum. The auto analysis will stop re-rolling only after the stat lands on the chosen rarity or higher, so be mindful of how to use it, as it will auto-spend your Soul Crystal and Kina. The chosen rarity depends on your Genus Insight level.
