Silentium is a type of resource in Aion 2 that is needed to complete certain Supply Requests to earn Abyss Points and Kina. However, obtaining Silentium can be a confusing process for players unfamiliar with the game’s systems. Here’s how it works.
How to Get Silentium in Aion 2
In Aion 2, you can get Silentium from the following sources:
- Expedition
- Transcendence
- Hidden Cubes
- Sanctuary (currently unavailable for Aion 2 Global)
Expedition
Expeditions are 1-5 player dungeons that unlock as you progress through the game, once you meet their level and gear score entry requirements. At the end of every Expedition, you get to claim a reward with some guaranteed Silentium (Bound).
Expeditions come in two types: Exploration and Conquest. Exploration Expeditions give you 4 Silentium as a guaranteed reward, whereas Conquests give you 7 Silentium.
Transcendence
Transcendence constitutes 2-5 player dungeon encounters similar to Expeditions, but harder in nature and with stronger bosses. Each Transcendence clear rewards you with 10 Silentium.
Hidden Cubes
Hidden Cubes are super rare chests found in the overworld of Aion 2 that can be opened using Hidden Cube Keys (Bound). There are over a thousand possible locations where a Hidden Cube can spawn in the game world, but only 200 or so appear at the same time. If someone claims a Hidden Cube, it disappears from that spot and appears in another possible location.
Unlike Empyrean Trace Feathers, Hidden Cubes are not marked on the map, and the only ways to find them are to camp possible spawn locations, stumble upon them by accident, or keep an ear out for the telltale chime that one is nearby. An audio cue plays out when you’re in the vicinity of a Hidden Cube, similar to how it works for feathers.
When opened with a key, a Hidden Cube will yield 10 guaranteed Silentium drops, in addition to other rewards.
How to Use Silentium in Aion 2
In Aion 2, Silentium is used for one of two things:
- Supply Requests
- Sold to Merchants for Kina
Supply Requests
Supply requests are collection tasks issued by the game that require you to find and submit items to the “board” in order to claim the rewards for the listings. One of the more common recurring Supply Requests is one where you need to submit 10 Silentium in exchange for Kina and Abyss Points. Any Silentium you collect should be reserved for this task, as this is the best use for them.
The Silentium Supply Request is not guaranteed to occur every time the board resets. If it doesn’t trigger for you, wait for the next daily and weekly reset for the tasks to reroll. The requests are cycled.
Sold to Merchants for Kina
Silentium can be sold to NPC merchants for 5,000 Kina. While this is certainly an option, it’s a wasteful one and not what you should be doing with your Silentium. Even worse, the Kina you get is Bound Kina that cannot be used to purchase anything in the Market (Auction House).
