What a time to be a Helldiver! Following an, um, unfortunate Major Order which concluded with a horrifying destruction of Angel’s venture, it seems that the community woke up from deep slumber. Once the Helldivers 2 community grasped just how big of a threat the Meridian Singularity was, all subfactions united, including the often-excluded Chaosdivers. Understandably, since the pressure is high, and nothing is currently going on, all players felt free to share their theories on what was going on and how to save Super Earth.
What’s Going on With the Meridian Singularity?
At the time of writing this article, it’s been less than 24 hours since the gravitational pull of the Singularity tore Angel’s Venture to pieces. Hundreds of thousands of innocent citizens lost their lives. All Super Earth flags are at half-staff, and everything is eerily silent. The quiet before the storm.
Following this terrible tragedy, the trajectory of the Meridian Singularity was revealed. As expected, it is headed straight for Super Earth, however, five planets are in its way. That’s a lot of innocent people.

Of course, plenty of theories about what’s next are floating around. According to some eagle-eyed players, the upcoming Major Order will finally send players into the Gloom. The first episode of Chronicles of J.O.E.L featured a map that showed the position of the Singularity, and something seemingly happening in the Gloom.
Other theories are, well, a bit more improbable. One player, pabloleon, suggested that Super Earth wasn’t the target. This player stated: “I have unshrouded from mystery their undemocratic intentions! They are coming for the Creek”. The OP posted an image with a slightly modified trajectory that connected the Singularity and Malevelon Creek. This caused quite a commotion in the community.

Unfortunately, as of the time of writing this article, we don’t know what will happen, or how we’ll stop the Singularity. Helldivers had a lot of strategies in mind, but one player, LesseZTwoPointO, took the cake. This player suggested: “Okay guys, hear me out: We make a second singularity. A democratic one to stop the autocratic one”. Well, fighting fire with fire might work, what do you think?
Chaosdivers Join Fellow Helldivers in Their Efforts to Stop the Singularity
Tragedies really do bring people together. Chaosdivers have decided to rejoin the Helldivers 2 community, at least until the threat of the Meridian Singularity isn’t neutralized. We’ve never thought this would happen, but we are extremely happy it did.
A Chaosdiver, Movieguy444, noted: “Guys I don’t care if Super Earth hates us, the Chaosdivers need to save them! We just need a plan”. The Chaosdivers community wholeheartedly agreed. One player, Confident-Map-1598, added: “My fight isn´t with SE… it’s with the oppressive government. SE won´t fall but the regime might, and I will not allow the Squids to take innocent lives. This I swear! Vera Libertas”.
So, dear Helldiver, if you haven’t joined this fight yet, you might want to reconsider. We’re only at the beginning and the tension is already palpable. According to some calculations, it will take the Singularity around 45 days to reach Super Earth, at the current pace, so get ready, this will be quite a journey. For Liberty and Super Earth.
