How to uninstall 2XKO

Uninstalling 2XKO is one of the hardest things to do if you choose not to play the game for some reason.

Typically, uninstalling a game today is one of the easiest tasks (whether you’re on PC or on a console). With 2XKO, the task of permanently removing the game and its files becomes hard due to Vanguard. Riot’s Kernel-level anti-cheat comes with the game and prevents you from modifying its files.

Thankfully, it’s actually possible to uninstall 2XKO, but the process is slightly laborious, to say the least.

How to permanently delete 2XKO from your PC

If you’ve tried out the early access of 2XKO and feel it’s not your cup of tea, you can choose to uninstall the files. However, the task isn’t simple, and you’ll need to perform the following steps.

  • Close the game. This is pretty obvious, as you can’t proceed with the uninstallation process if the executable is running.
  • Open the taskbar, and you’ll find the Vanguard icon.
  • Right-click on the Vanguard icon to close the anti-cheat. This is mandatory if you want to uninstall the game.
  • Close the Riot Games Launcher. You can find it from the taskbar as well.

Once the Vanguard anti-cheat and Riot Games Launcher are shut down, go to Add or Remove Programs from your PC settings. Select 2XKO, and proceed to uninstall the game.

Since Vanguard is a kernel-based anti-cheat, it will start working before the OS boots up on your PC (Windows). You can’t uninstall 2XKO or any other games from Riot till Vanguard is functional. Hence, you’ll need to close the anti-cheat to uninstall 2XKO and the Riot Games Launcher if you have no use for it.

To turn off the Riot Games Launcher and Vanguard, you can also use the Task Manager on your PC. If you choose to play 2XKO once again, you’ll need to reinstall the game and Vanguard from scratch once more.
