Awesome Games Done Quick 2026 has raised $2.44 million (£1.8m) for its latest cause, Prevent Cancer Foundation.
The annual speedrunning fundraiser – just one of several of Games Done Quick’s yearly events – finished up early today in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with a Pokémon Emerald speedrun.
As always, while thousands of guests attended in person, the speedrunning feats were also simultaneously broadcast live on Twitch and YouTube.
Highlights from the event include a Resident Evil 2 Remake run played on a Guitar Hero controller, a 70-person relay race of Super Mario 64, and “a packed room of French-styled cosplayers during Clair Obscur: Expedition 33”.
Since 2010, Games Done Quick has collectively raised more than $59.8 million for charities worldwide, including Malala Fund and Organization for Autism Research. The next event kicks off on 5th February in Minneapolis to raise funds for Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières.
Summer Games Done Quick 2025 closed raising $2,436,614 – £1.8m – also for Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières.
