Best upgrades to get in Potato Please

Potato Please might look like a simple game about peeling potatoes, but things can get quite tricky. It’s okay to start peeling with your hands when you’re setting up your work. However, the demand rises soon, and so does the number of potatoes.

Coins are limited, and upgrades are plenty. I will list the best upgrades you should prioritize first.

Best upgrades in Potato Please

Upgrades in Potato Please are unlocked with credits. They’re also divided across multiple categories. While the game doesn’t tell you which upgrades you should get first, min-maxing will make your life easier (especially since the job can get quite stressful after the first hour if you’re doing everything manually).

Upgrade Category Reason
Peeler Peeling Both the Steel Knife and the Rusty Knife are terrible tools. The Peeler is your best option until you can switch to automation. It’s smooth, fun, and extremely easy to use. You should invest in all three levels of upgrade as soon as possible.
Streak Bonus Peeling Every upgrade that allows you to earn more credits is welcome. With Streak Bonus, you’ll be able to earn more credits by peeling potatoes before the time is over. This works really well in combination with the Peeler.
Winter Coat Character This upgrade might not be glamorous, but it makes you efficient. You stay warm and never slow down despite the cold working temperatures.
Wheelbarrow Handling While the Potato Vacuum is the best handling upgrade, it’s expensive, and you’re not unlocking that early. Instead, the Wheelbarrow is the perfect blend of economy and efficiency. It allows you to load up to six sacks, and you can do so wherever required.
Overclock Automation All Peeling Drums are good and efficient. Hence, go for Overclock, which makes them twice as efficient. It allows your machines to peel more potatoes and make you more money on your shift.
Sack Cableway Automation You can’t have ultimate automation until you no longer need to carry the sacks of potatoes. That’s what the Sack Cableway does, as it will pick up all the sacks and deliver them to your automated peelers.
