Getting into the same phase as your friends in WoW Forever means moving onto the exact same copy of a zone so you can see each other and play together. You form a party first, then use a special refresh notice that appears so you can switch layers when you are ready. If you want to share quests and help each other get rewards and loot from monsters, then you’re going to need to know what to do through the guide below.
How to Play With Friends in the Same Phase in World of Warcraft Forever
Both characters must be on the same faction, region, and ruleset in order to join each other.
The main rulesets are Normal, PvP, Roleplay, and Roleplay-PvP. Players on different rulesets cannot form a regular party for questing or dungeons. Hardcore is its own separate ruleset and arrives later.
Join a Party and Refresh your Phase
Have your friend invite you to their party. You can open the chat window and type /invite followed by their character name. After the invite is accepted, watch for a notice about a zone refresh.
Walk to a safe place and select the Refresh button. This moves you onto the party leader’s phase of the zone. Pay attention to the fact that you will have a few minutes to do it, so there is no need to hurry.
Do not trigger the phase change while you are in combat or standing next to strong enemies. The new layer can have different monsters that may attack immediately. Find a quiet location first, then click the refresh button.
Can’t Play with Friends in the Same Phase – Fix Guide
The refresh notice does not always show up right away. In this case, have the other player exit the game completely, then log back in with the same character while the group stays formed.
In most cases, this puts players on the same phase. For larger groups, invite one person at a time. After the switch, look around and confirm that you can see each other’s characters. Stay in the party while you play so the game keeps you together.
