The rebel faction of Helldivers has been laying low for a while. The Chaosdivers pop up from time to time, usually to present a conspiracy theory to the rest of the Helldivers 2 community, and then go back to fighting their own battles. This time, they made some serious accusations that might disturb some citizens.
Who Are the Chaosdivers?
The Chaosdivers were originally created back in August 2024, as a sign of protest for all of the nerfs, or, rather, as a group that disagreed with Super Earth’s policies. Later on, they claimed they were the reason behind all the positive changes. However, Chaosdivers refused to rejoin the rest of Helldivers 2 players, choosing instead to create their narrative and explore various conspiracy theories.
Even though some of these theories were highly undemocratic, the devs recognized Chaosdivers as a faction. The rebels weren’t impressed. However, with everything happening with the Meridian Singularity, Chaosdivers joined other players in a community effort to stop the Illuminate. Unfortunately, to no avail, the Meridian Singularity destroyed Angel’s Venture.
What Is the Latest Conspiracy in Helldivers 2?
Days after this catastrophe, some Chaosdivers were shaken to their core by a message from the Arrowhead CEO. You see, following the disaster, Shams Jorjani, the CEO, took to Discord to comfort the players. He (probably) joked: “Anyone with Angel’s Venture time-share vacation homes will be issued new ones on Hellmire”.
The majority of the Helldivers 2 community didn’t even register this joke, those who did probably just chuckled and carried on. Well, this joke didn’t sit well with some Chaosdivers. They expressed concern about Super Earth sending citizens to Hellmire to be experimented on.
A Chaosdiver, NaturalWonder20, wondered: “Is Super Earth intentionally sacrificing Angel’s Venture refugees to the bugs? When Angel’s Venture was destroyed by the Meridian Black Hole, those who were able to evacuate were sent to Hellmire to continue their “time-share” vacations. This planet is currently controlled by the Terminids, and this refugee resettlement started just as a new strand has recently popped up”.
Another player, Someone1284794357, stated: “They are using the refugees as test subjects. Hellmire is in the Gloom”. Zombie-man123 added: “Those brave colonists will attempt to retake Hellmire”.
We truly hope that this theory isn’t true. Even if it was, Helldivers are slowly making their way to Hellmire, according to some players. First, they defended Fenrir III for the Major Order, and now the fight moved to Erata Prime. Both of these planets are connected to Hellmire.
