Pokemon TCG Pocket is giving fans the chance to pick up a stunning full-art Pikachu promo card, but players will need to pay to get the card. The first anniversary of Pokemon TCG Pocket has brought with it plenty of festivities as the mobile trading card game celebrates a wildly successful first year. TCG Pocket rolled out a plethora of special events as part of the anniversary, including a “Drop” event featuring promo cards from throughout the game’s first year and a giveaway for Advance Ticket holders. Now, Pokemon TCG Pocket has added a special bonus to a premium offering.
While Pokemon TCG Pocket touts its “free daily packs” as a big draw for the game, The Pokemon Company offers fans multiple ways to pay for more. Pokemon TCG Pocket‘s Premium Pass offers fans an extra pack each day, alongside premium missions for Hourglasses and Premium Tickets. The Pass also grants access to an exclusive shop within Pokemon TCG Pocket, packed with unique promo cards and cosmetics. Pokemon TCG Pocket‘s Premium Pass is now getting a special promo card added to its lineup.
Pokemon TCG Pocket officially revealed a brand-new Pikachu promo card attached to the game’s Premium Pass on Friday. The promo card features a stunning full-art rendition of Pikachu, featuring the “Spark” attack which deals some extra damage to Benched Pokemon. Players can pick up the Pikachu promo by just subscribing to the Premium Pass, with the card also available in the pack for just one Premium Ticket. The update to Pokemon TCG Pocket‘s Premium Pass also includes some new “Mega Rising” cosmetics, with sleeves, field artwork, and a coin based on Mega Blaziken ex.

Pokemon TCG Pocket‘s newest exclusive Pikachu card comes as the franchise’s biggest mascot has received several promo printings. Pikachu previously received a full-art version connected to the Premium Pass, included as part of the “Promo-A” series of promo cards. Pikachu also featured on a New Year’s celebration promo card alongside the three Kanto Starter Pokemon, which served as a login bonus during the New Year’s event. Pikachu was even the subject of one of the game’s first “immersive art” cards, released in the “Genetic Apex” set.
Pokemon TCG Pocket saw more than just promos and giveaways as part of the anniversary event, with a major new set hitting the game. The celebration welcomed the release of the “Mega Rising” expansion, officially adding Mega Pokemon to the game as a brand-new mechanic. The expansion includes several fan-favorite Mega Evolutions as part of the mechanic’s debut, including Absol, Ampharos, and Altaria among others. Pokemon TCG Pocket fans should have plenty to be excited about with a wealth of special goodies for the first anniversary.
