In a game where you can activate your ability and zone only once, you’d better make sure you have the best Uma with the strongest ones. There are exceptions though and some Umas have passives and drawbacks that alter the rankings. I’ll be rating them all to see who is the best Uma in this Uma Racing tier list and guide.
Uma Racing Umas Tier List
The best Uma in Uma Racing depends on both your skill and when you use the ability/zone. You can still win with a lower rarity Uma against a higher rarity one if you’re more skilled at Stamina management than your opponents. That said, on the same level of skill, certain higher rarity Umas have the advantage. I highly recommend Gold Ship for beginners but Silence Suzuka is objectively the strongest. Let’s see why below.
Skills & Zones: All Skills are some form of a dash so I’ll just list the additional effects below for each Uma. As for Zones, you have to charge the Zone bar to activate them with G by overtaking other Umas. You can do your Zone once before the final spurt and then it refreshes for the final spurt so you can potentially use it twice. That’s why Silence Suzuka is so powerful.
Running Styles: Each Uma also has one of three running styles so I’ll just mention each Uma’s style in the rankings below then explain all styles in the section below the rankings.
S-Tier Umas
| S-Tier Umas | All Abilities | Why S-Tier |
|---|---|---|
![]() Silence Suzuka Legendary Front Runner |
Skill • After usage, your stamina doesn’t drain for 3 seconds Zone |
• While Rice & Oguri have slightly better actives while behind someone, Silence has the best ability in the game which is strong wherever you are • Not only that but you ignore stamina drain on both your skill and zone which rounds up to 5 seconds of no stamina drain along with the zone buffs • Silence also has better Speed and acceleration due to Front Runner so she’s an overall powerhouse even with the recent nerf to her skill (Ignore stamina drain 4.4s -> 3s) • That said note that Front Runner makes her use more Stamina so you’ll have to be more careful with stamina management |
A-Tier Umas
| A-Tier Umas | All Abilities | Why A-Tier |
|---|---|---|
![]() Oguri Cap Legendary Pace Chaser |
Skill (Someone must be ahead of you) • Gain self stamina regeneration for 0.7 seconds • Ignore stamina drain for 4.4 seconds Skill Variant (You must be directly behind someone) Zone (You must be near someone – Range 43 studs) |
• Oguri Cap’s skill is better than Silence since you’re ignoring stamina drain for longer and debuffing your opponent • This is the best Skill in the game • That said Silence is still better since she has a stronger Zone • Oguri’s Zone is a bit situational since you have to have players around you to debuff them and Silence can use her Zone whenever |
![]() Rice Shower Legendary Pace Chaser |
Skill • After usage, your stamina doesn’t drain for 3.5 seconds Skill Variant (If you use it while behind someone) Zone Drawback |
• Rice Shower can end up getting more value from her skill than Silence if you use it behind the lead runners • This is both because you get a longer stamina ignore buff and you also slow their sprinting • Don’t use it while in the front to gain maximum value • That said Rice is still slightly weaker than Silence since Silence gets a better zone • Your zone is situational and requires multiple opponents to be near you |
![]() Gold Ship Rare Late Surger |
Skill • Ignore stamina drain for 2.5 seconds Ultra Skill (3% chance to trigger on Skill use) Zone Drawback |
• The best beginner Uma in the game since she’s powerful and easy to get • She’s the only non-legendary to ignore stamina drain on Skill and there’s a 3% chance for you to pump it up to 9 seconds • Your zone is also pretty decent giving you extra speed on QTE win and you have less stamina consumption due to Late Surger • Even though there’s a low chance that you’ll get stunned during your skill this is a 1-in-33 matches chance • Overall, a really great Uma |
B-Tier Umas
| B-Tier Umas | All Abilities | Why B-Tier |
|---|---|---|
![]() Daiwa Scarlet Rare Pace Chaser |
Skill (2 Uses) • Daiwa Scarlet can activate a powerful dash twice per race, each use unleashing a burst of forward speed Zone |
• Even though Tamamo has a slightly better skill than Daiwa, Daiwa is still superior due to a better zone • And Daiwa’s double dash skill, though not as strong as stamina drain ignore, can be pretty useful to gain a lead in corners or if your enemy runs out of stamina • Don’t spam the dashes but instead look for opportunities to overtake opponents at corners |
C-Tier Umas
| C-Tier Umas | All Abilities | Why C-Tier |
|---|---|---|
![]() Tamamo Cross Legendary Pace Chaser |
Skill • Get self stamina regeneration for 0.7 seconds • Get no stamina drain for 1.95 seconds • Gives stamina drain to nearby players within 30 studs for 0.3 seconds Zone |
• Overall for a Legendary Tamamo is weaker than the others but she still has the stamina drain ignore for almost 2 seconds • The reason she’s ranked so low though is because her Zone is pretty much useless • Even though her skill is better than Daiwa having a weaker Zone which can potentially be activated twice before and after the final spurt really nerfs Tamamo |
![]() Haru Urara Common Late Surger |
Skill • Get self stamina regen for 0.5 seconds Zone |
• It’s not much but her Skill is more reliable than Air Groove and her zone is better than Tamamo Cross |
D-Tier Umas
| D-Tier Umas | All Abilities | Why D-Tier |
|---|---|---|
![]() Air Groove Uncommon Pace Chaser |
Skill • Get self stamina regen for 0.8 seconds • Players within 35 studs get stamina drain for 0.3 seconds Zone |
• Basically, both her Skill and Zone debuff sound good but are really weak since they’re both short and require multiple people around you for value • Just skip this Uma until her debuff duration increases |

Uma Racing Tips & Tricks
Here are some tips and advice for winning Uma Racing matches as a beginner:
- Master the QTE: The quick-time event at the beginning is crucial to you getting an early lead or the upper positions. It’s why everybody is running so fast from the start. If you do well later with Stamina management, doing well on the starting QTE will carry over to put you in a better place to win.
- Managing Stamina: Keep your acceleration bar directly on the white line since this is your efficiency zone. It will keep your speed on a consistent level without massive Stamina losses. If you go full throttle right off the bat it will drain your Stamina fast and you’ll have a more difficult time recovering it. Learn to balance your Stamina and pace for better results.
- Stamina Recovery: You don’t need to slow down to recover Stamina, you just have to pick the right moment. The best moments are straight paths, open stretches and safe distances from other runners.
- Corner Recovery: Master the Spacebar corner mini-game which directly boosts your regeneration on corners. This is just as important as the starter QTEs.
- Go All Out on The Final Turn: Everyone is usually saving their skills for the final stretch where you should go all out if you managed your Stamina well. This is the best time to use your active skill to guarantee first place. Watch out for Rice Shower slows and Daiwa Scarlet blinds (described above).
- Slipstream and Spurt: Positioning is extremely important since you can Slipstream behind players in front of you to save stamina so you can follow a leading player for a while to conserve Stamina. Don’t do this for too long and try to overtake them. Also, use your Spurts. It can be used with Sprinting at Full Speed to gain even more momentum. Spurt drains Stamina on use, but could be game-changing once you master the timing and stamina management.
