The Eyes in the Sky quest for ARC Raiders is a bit more complicated than most of the ones that came before it. Your job here is simple: plant some LIDAR Scanners at the tallest points of three different regions. However, as simple as that sounds, the game will leave you to figure out the locations of these points yourself.
If you’ve spent enough time in any of the three regions needed for the Eyes in the Sky quest, you should already have a vague idea of where to go. Most quests in ARC Raiders are like this, though, so if you’re not quite sure what to do, here’s a guide to help you out.
ARC Raiders: Dam Battlegrounds LIDAR Scanner on the Control Tower
The LIDAR Scanner installation point in the Dam Battlegrounds map is found at the roof of the Control Tower, which is right in the middle of the map. You can get up there by using a zipline behind a breachable door. Reaching the roof shouldn’t be that hard, but you’ll want to mind the other players who are likely inside the Control Tower too, since it’s usually one of the Dam Battlegrounds hot spots.
You can get to the roof by using the entrance near the Red Lakes elevator. Open the door at the base of the tower, then head inside. There’s an elevator shaft there that leads straight up. However, there may be turrets guarding the zipline that leads to the roof, so scope the place out first before you head up. Once you reach the roof, clear out any ARCs you find, then check the east corner of the building for the tripod.
ARC Raiders: Buried City LIDAR Scanner on the Galleria Sign
The Galleria sign in ARC Raiders is found on the eponymous Galleria building in the Buried City. Much like the Control Tower, this is also a highly-contested area, so expect plenty of players skulking about.
Sneak your way through the ARCs and potential raiders in the area, and when you make it to the roof, head on over to the support pillar with the big G over it. You need to use a Zipline in order to reach the top. Use the one Shani provided (or buy/loot another one), then aim it at the big G. Zip up to the top, and place the LIDAR Scanner.
This quest may not require you to fight anyone or anything, but we still recommend bringing either a free loadout or a cheap one with a Ferro to protect yourself against ARCs.
ARC Raiders: Spaceport LIDAR Scanner on the Communications Tower
For the last one, head to the Spaceport, then make your way to the Communications Tower on the east side of the map. Unlike the other two, all you need to do here is use the ladder leading to the top of the tower and place the LIDAR Scanner there.
This spot may be easy to reach, but since you’re very exposed when climbing the tower, you’re likely to get shot by players who want to ruin your day, or discovered by an ARC bot that’s flying around. If you do get shot, remember that you can press your Sprint button to quickly slide down the ladder.
At the end of the quest, you’ll get the following:
- Tagging Grenade: Tags enemies in its blast radius, marking them for you and your team.
- Vita Spray: Continuously restores health when used.
- Red Light Stick: Use to light up an area.
