Elden Ring Nightreign DLC is almost here

Elden Ring Nightreign players will get new DLC — including new bosses, new areas to explore, and new playable Nightfarers — sooner than expected. During Tuesday’s State of Play livestream, FromSoftware and Bandai Namco revealed Elden Ring Nightreign: The Forsaken Hollows, an expansion for the cooperative multiplayer survival game that will arrive on Dec. 4.

The Forsaken Hollows will add two new Nightfarers to the roster, bringing the total number of playable characters to 10. New in the DLC are the Scholar, an academic with high arcane stats who “gains incredible advantages through battlefield observation,” and the Undertaker, an abbess who excels in strength and faith, and “sends enemies to the afterlife with ruthless efficiency,” FromSoftware says.

Expect at least two new Nightlords in The Forsaken Hollows — and some familiar faces from the Dark Souls series and Elden Ring. The trailer for the DLC shows the Divine Beast Dancing Lion, Artorias the Abysswalker, and Bayle the Dread returning as new threats in Elden Ring Nightreign. Other enemies from Elden Ring will also return and stalk Limveld, helping to keep things fresh in the DLC.

Players can also expect to visit a new area, thanks to a fifth Shifting Earth event. The Great Hollow, a cavity in the depths of Limveld, is “strewn with exotic ruins and temples; sacred towers denoting the remains of an ancient people; and crystals that exude a cursed, life-draining miasma,” FromSoft says.

Elden Ring Nightreign: The Forsaken Hollows arrives next month on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. It will be available to players who have purchased the Deluxe Upgrade Pack, or Nightreign‘s Collectors Edition or Deluxe Edition.
