If you’re looking for a gift for a Harry Potter fan this holiday, the wonderful Interactive Illustrated Editions are steeply discounted and eligible for Amazon’s Buy Two, Get One Free Book Sale ahead of Black Friday 2025. The Interactive Illustrated Edition of the Goblet of Fire, the four book in the series, just released last month and is discounted to $39 (was $50). Like the first three books, this hardcover edition has over 150 full-color illustrations and eight papercraft elements scattered throughout the novel.

If you add three eligible books to your cart, you’ll receive a discount equal to the lowest-priced item. In this case, that would be Prisoner of Azkaban, which is on sale for $21.29 (was $40). The Sorcerer’s Stone is similarly priced at $21.61 (was $38), and Chamber of Secrets is $29.30 (was $38).

If you want all four Interactive Illustrated Editions, you may want to pick out two more books to take advantage of Amazon’s B2G1 promotion twice. Beautiful MinaLima Editions of several other notable works of fiction are included in Amazon’s promotion, too. For example, Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein received a stunning MinaLima Illustrated Edition on October 28. Here’s a list of other eligible MinaLima Illustrated Editions:

The MinaLima Editions of the first three books are also available in a three-book box set for $90 (was $116), but it’s significantly cheaper to buy the books individually–especially with the B2G1 Free promotion.

MinaLima also published a full-color compendium on its work as the main design studio for the Harry Potter film adaptations. The Magic of MinaLima is available for only $20 (was $50) at Amazon, but it’s not eligible for Amazon’s B2G1 Free Sale.

The Interactive Illustrated Edition project is catching up to Scholastic’s other long-running Wizarding World book project: the Harry Potter Illustrated Editions. Whereas the Interactive Illustrated Editions are roughly the same size as a normal hardcover book, the Illustrated Editions are oversized coffee table hardcovers with full-color artwork.

The first Harry Potter Illustrated Edition released back in 2015, but only the first five novels have been adapted into this format. In March, the franchise’s UK publisher, Bloomsbury, announced that Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince: Illustrated Edition will be published in October 2026. Longtime Harry Potter illustrator Jim Kay stepped down in 2022 after the release of Order of the Phoenix. Half-Blood Prince will be illustrated by Levi Pinfold, an artist who previously contributed to The Harry Potter Wizarding Almanac.
