Those with Switch consoles who have had a hankering to play Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition – that is to say, the remaster of 2013’s Tomb Raider reboot – but have been unable to do so due to its lack of availability, well I have good news for you.
Today, Aspyr and Crystal Dynamics shadow dropped the game on Switch and Switch 2. You can check out a trailer for it below.
“Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition is the award-winning cinematic action-adventure that tells Lara Croft’s emotional journey from an inexperienced young woman into a hardened survivor – with a stunningly lifelike world to explore,” reads the official blurb, with the promise of “high-octane combat”, the ability to customise weapons and gear, and of course some “grueling” environments which Lara will need to endure.
Along with the base game, Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition also comes with all of the original DLC, as well as digital versions of the Dark Horse comic Tomb Raider: The Beginning, Brady Games’ mini-art book Tomb Raider: The Art of Survival, and the ‘Final Hours of Tomb Raider’ developer video series.
It also includes online multiplayer for up to eight players.
Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition is available via the Nintendo eShop for £17/$20. That said, owners of Aspyr’s previously released Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered Starring Lara Croft or Tomb Raider 4-6 Remastered on Nintendo Switch are eligible for a 10 percent discount.
