Mysterious Colossus is a Lost Chapter quest in Where Winds Meet that leads directly into the Gleaming Abyss campaign quest, culminating in a boss fight against The Void King.

Mysterious Colossus Quest Guide in Where Winds Meet
The Mysterious Colossus quest can be triggered in the Gleaming Abyss region in Qinghe’s Moonveil Mountain in Where Winds Meet (shown above). To start the Lost Chapter quest, head to the Wraith Village Boundary Stone.
Approach the Mysterious Colossus
Follow the quest marker in the heart of the Gleaming Abyss and walk toward it. This will lead you to an area hidden by a thick layer of fog. You’ll immediately run across an area with two large red coffins and a red-robed figure. Ignore these and climb the wall behind them.
Here, look for two burning torches in the distance. Walk towards the torches, and the heavy fog will lift, revealing a massive Buddha statue looming overhead.
Investigate the Anomalies in the Surroundings
Approach the stone men kneeling in front of the large statue and you’ll see the prompt to “Imitate” next to a red cloth on the ground. Interact with it and stay seated. After a short delay, blue fire will erupt on some of the nearby structures, and a blue Deer spirit will emerge and gallop away.
Use Wind Sense (V) to sense the Deer Tracks and follow them up the stairs and toward the back of the statue, where you’ll find two worshipping villagers kneeling in front of a stone door.
How to Open the Stone Door
When the villagers assume the worshipping position in front of the stone statues, the structures light up with blue fire. However, when you approach them, they put their hands in front of their faces, making the blue fire go out.
The goal here is to have the villagers maintain the worship pose. To do this, walk away from the villagers until they assume the correct pose, and then cast the Meridian Touch Mystical Art on both of them in quick succession to force them to stay in that position. Then, quickly approach the third statue and select the “Make Offerings” prompt.

Gleaming Abyss Quest Guide in Where Winds Meet
Enter the now-open cave entrance and activate the Gleaming Abyss – Path Boundary Stone to unlock the teleport point.
Capture five fireflies flying around inside the cave to unlock the Glow of Fireflies Mystic Art, which allows you to create an on-command light source whenever needed.
Follow the narrow cave path leading down into the depths of the cave, and you’ll eventually come across a large open pond with a winding path leading up to a glowing Stone Coffin. Right at the entrance will be the Gleaming Abyss – Pond Boundary Stone.
How to Reach the Stone Coffin
Walk up to the narrow path that leads up to the coffin floating above the pond, and you’ll be met by a barrier. The quest objective will update, stating that you now need to find three Deer Shadows:

To the left of the Boundary Stone, you’ll see two spirits and a Deer Shadow standing on a pier overlooking the pond. Walk up to them and select “Sense Dream Echo.” The Deer Shadow will return to the stone coffin, and this objective will be marked complete. |

Right next to the Boundary Stone is a narrow entrance you can crawl inside by crouching (C). Enter this area and interact with the male Dream Echo to have the Deer Shadow return. Climb the vines next to the spirit to return to the main area. |

Deer Shadow Drum’s Top |
Approach the two spirits standing on top of two drums, opposite the Boundary Stone’s location. Activate your Wind Sense (V) and you’ll see an overgrown branch on the wall next to the two blue flame torches. Use a Fire Arrow with your Bow to burn the branch to ashes, and the lantern behind it will light up, which will result in multiple drums rising up from the water. The two spirits will take turns using these drums as jump pads to reach the other side of the pond. Follow the two spirits and you’ll see a Deer Shadow run back to the stone coffin. Claim all treasures in this location and return the way you came. |

After all three Deer Shadows have been found, the path ahead will open, and you’ll be able to reach the Stone Coffin. Interact with it and you’ll be pulled down to the next main location. Here, enter the large arena and defeat all the Poison Puppets to first clear the field.
How to Open the Stone Gate
After the area has been cleared, walk up the stairs on the other side of the arena, and you’ll see another Deer Shadow and a male spirit. Interact with the Deer Skull on the ground to obtain a key material that’ll be required later on.
Continue onward, and you’ll see an open wooden coffin standing upright with a mummy inside. Interact with it to obtain the Human Cocoon’s Notes and the Stone Gate Key. Return to the arena and interact with the stone contraption to place the Stone Gate Key inside and unlock the path ahead.
How to Find All Deer Skull Parts
Enter through the Stone Gate and defeat the puppet to reach the Gleaming Abyss – Bottom Boundary Stone. Directly behind it is another locked stone door. Ignore this for now and look directly to your right. Jump up here and go through the stone pillars to drop down on the other side.
Here, turn right and you’ll see two Dream echoes and a Deer Shadow with a Deer Skull right beside it. Purify the Deer Skull to obtain a Deer Antler. Now, turn back and climb up the stone steps to reach a wooden platform. Here, you’ll see another Deer Shadow. Interact with the Deer Skull right next to it to obtain the second Deer Antler.
Jump down to the right to drop directly in front of the blocked stone wall. Interact with it and place all three Deer Skull parts to unlock the path ahead.
Defeat The Void King
This is the boss arena for The Void King, a powerful boss with two phases. There is a Hero’s Tomb at the entrance, which means you’ll be able to summon help using a signpost if desired. Defeat The Void King to obtain the following rewards:

- Divine Roulette Inner Way: Tome x1

Uncover the Final Story
Enter the Mist Gate behind The Void King’s arena to return to the cave and interact with the Dream Echo grieving in front of a grave. Then, turn back and run up the stairs to a large empty house with some goodies inside.
Activate with the ghostly contraption next to the two dream echoes near the pond to create a stone path leading back to Gleaming Abyss – Pond Boundary Stone. Interact with the Deer Immortal sign etched on the ground to complete the quest and unlock the Gleaming Abyss campaign.
