Lingering Melodies are one of the two main currencies used for the gacha system in Where Winds Meet. If we were to compare this game to other popular gacha titles, then Lingering Melodies would be the equivalent of premium banner tickets, being starkly more valuable than its more-common counterpart. However, in Where Winds Meet, this type of premium gacha currency is also much more expensive than in other games. Getting some for your own is still possible even without spending a dime, but doing so is going to be a little more time-consuming than usual. Here are all the sources of Lingering Melodies we know so far.

Jianghu Treasure Shop
You can buy up to 2 Lingering Melodies using Echo Jades via the Jianghu Treasure Shop, which you can find under the Items section of the in-game shop. Each melody costs 200 Echo Jades, and unfortunately, the shop refreshes on a weekly basis. Unfortunately, this is one of the more reliable free sources of Lingering Melodies in the game.
Seasonal Shop
Much like the Jianghu Treasure Shop, you can buy Lingering Melodies from the Seasonal Shop at 200 Echo Jades a piece. To reach this menu, hit Escape/Start to open the menu, then select the Season option. You can only buy 1 Lingering Melody from the Seasonal Shop per week, and before you can do that, you’ll need to earn 20,000 Jade Fish, which you can get by doing activities around the world.
Essence of Heaven and Earth Shops
Every time you pull in one of the Where Winds Meet gacha banners, you’ll get either Essences of Earth or Essences of Heaven. You get the former from the Solemn Echo banner, while the latter is obtained from the Celestial Echo banner. These currencies can be spent in their respective shops, and while you can technically buy an unlimited number of Lingering Melodies from these two, they can’t be relied upon since you need to actually pull on the gacha banners themselves.
Meow Meow Shop
There is a Meow Meow Temple Shop in Qinghe and Kaifeng, and if you speak with Meow Meow there, you’ll be able to buy up to 2 Lingering Melodies per shop. Here, you purchase items using Bells, which you can get by completing the various Meow Meow challenges scattered throughout the realm. If you find a red sword stuck in the ground while traveling, interact with it, then complete the challenge that appears.
Martial Fellowship
You can find some martial artists throughout the Jianghu just minding their own business in specific areas of the map. If you meet their level requirements, you’ll be able to challenge them to a friendly duel, and if you win, you get 1 Lingering Melody (among other things). You can find these martial artists by opening your map and looking for swordsman-shaped icons.
Zhao Feiyan’s Warehouse
There’s an NPC in the Kaifeng region of Where Winds Meet that will sell you a Lingering Melody. To the very north of Kaifeng City is Zhao Feiyan, but before he sells you anything, you’ll need to finish a quick quest for him first.
Premium Currency and Monthly Fund
Finally, if you really want to get Lingering Melodies quickly and easily, you can always just buy them from the in-game shop. Where Winds Meet uses Echo Beads as its premium currency, and you need 160 to buy a single Lingering Melody. If you purchase the game’s Monthly Fund subscription, you’ll get a lump sum of 300 Echo Beads as well as 100 Echo Jades per day for a month. On the 20th day, you’ll get one Lingering Melody.
