“How Are We Still at 0%?!” Will Helldivers 2 Players Liberate Fori Prime in Time?

Helldivers have finally made it into the Gloom! The first Gloom Research Expedition is on its way, but not everything is running smoothly. The new strain of bugs and fresh mission types have made the Major Order interesting, but quite difficult to complete. The clock is ticking, and Helldivers 2 players are getting more and more concerned that they will not manage to liberate Fori Prime in time.

What’s Happening With Fori Prime?

As you know, the current Major Order sent the players on Fori Prime, as the Gloom isn’t as “thick” on this planet. The players were tasked with liberating Fori Prime and killing 1 billion bugs and collecting 100k Common Samples on this planet.

At the time of writing this article, it’s been just over two days since the MO started. The players already killed a billion bugs, and they’ve collected more than 50k Common Samples. However, they haven’t made any progress when it comes to the liberation of Fori Prime, as it’s been at 0% since the very start.

According to the in-game data, more than 50k Helldivers are fighting on Fori Prime, currently. The number of concurrent players on this planet went all the way up to 93k in the past couple of days. So, how on Super Earth is liberation still at 0%?

Well, you may already know the answer to this question. Yes, the decay (regen) rate is criminally high. Now, even though the rates are now available in-game, for some reason, the devs decided not to display them for Fori Prime. However, a third-party app, DiversHub, confirmed our suspicions. The decay rate is at 8% per hour, at the time of writing this article. Reportedly, it was at 15% per hour when the MO started.

Helldivers Believe They’ll Liberate Fori Prime

If you’ve been on Fori Prime, you know how densely it’s populated. Even though it seems that Helldivers aren’t making any progress, they are. The decay rate gradually dropping from 15% to 8% per hour shows that Helldivers 2 players have actually made a huge dent in the number of bugs on Fori Prime.

Devoted Helldivers shared their expectations on Discord. One player, ZXE102R, noted: “This weekend we’ll make progress. Decay rate is being kept high so we don’t soft-lock the MO. Since you can’t continue to get kills or samples if the planet is liberated”.

Historically speaking, this did happen a couple of times, right? Correct us if we’re wrong, but Helldivers liberated some planets before killing the enemies/collecting the Samples, thus the devs had to organize subsequent attacks. We’re glad to see they made some clever adjustments.

So, don’t worry, at this rate, the decay rate will soon get low enough for Helldivers to make an impact. That is, unless J.O.E.L decides to unleash that terrifying new Terminid, or, you know, the Hive Lord. Even then, we’ll be fighting on Fori Prime, can we count on you? For Liberty and Super Earth.
