Healing in Soulframe might seem relatively insignificant when you’re just getting started, but it will gradually gain its importance as you start getting deeper into the game.
The first set of enemies is pretty easy to defeat, and they die relatively easily. The latter set of quests will introduce you to more difficult opponents that don’t die so easily. Moreover, you’ll lose at least some amount of your health while attempting to defeat them.
Healing yourself will ensure that you don’t die and can continue completing the missions to earn rewards and unlock the endgame activities.
Best way to heal in Soulframe
There’s more than one way to heal yourself in Soulframe. If you select Spirit at the start of the game, healing will be easier. However, the standard way of obtaining heals is by using Healing Potions. You’ll have five healing potions available by default (applicable for all three starter pacts), and you can press the H button to heal yourself.

The best way to get Healing potions is by looting chests. You can also gain potions by defeating enemies. They drop at random, so make sure to ration the potions properly. In simple words, don’t take unnecessary damage from enemies, and try to block as many attacks as possible.
If you pledged to Spirit at the start of the game, you’ll belong to the Oscelda Pact. The first spell you get from joining this pack allows you to heal yourself over time. This spell tends to be so powerful that you’ll hardly have to depend on potions. While other pacts do have healing spells that you can unlock over time, this unique beginner spell is exclusively available for the Oscelda Pact.
How to Smite Heal in Soulframe
While this is a more advanced method of healing, you can enable it via Pact Arts. Every pact can unlock Sympathy Art. Once unlocked, Sympathy Art will allow you to heal yourself with a successful Smite Attack. You’ll want to use weapons that have a high Smite chance (to trigger the Spite Attacks more frequently).
You can enhance your healing Smite Attacks by using a Deer Totem in the weapon’s Utility Slot. Either methods work well, but you’ll have to play Soulframe Preludes for at least a few hours before you get to use them.
