While fishing in Fisch, you may have noticed that some of your catches have a different appearance and cost a little more than usual. All this is due to a special feature that imposes mutations on fish.
Mutations not only boost the value of the catch but also affect its appearance in this Roblox game. But of course, many of them can only be obtained by fulfilling certain conditions, such as using a special fishing rod. Here’s a detailed rundown on all the mutations in Fisch and how to get them.
Updated November 30, 2025, by Artur Novichenko: Catching fish is your primary source of income in Fisch, so you’ll want fish with rare mutations to increase their value several times over. The developers frequently add new fish variations. So, we’ve updated this guide with all the new mutations and how to obtain them.
Fisch: How to Get Gemstones
Gemstones are valuable items that can be sold for a profit or used for crafting in Fisch. Here’s how players can get them.
All Mutations in Fisch
A mutation is an RNG-based effect in Fisch. Players can notice that their catch has a mutation already at the reeling stage. For example, with an Electric mutation, the fish gets an electric aura.
It is also worth noting that each mutation boosts the value of the fish. And the higher the bonus, the more difficult it is to get it. For your convenience, here is a list of all mutations available in Fisch:

NPCs
The Appraiser NPC who lives on Moosewood can increase the cost of your catch and impose a random mutation in Fisch. Luckily, the bonuses from server events apply to this NPC.
Also, players should visit the Chiseler NPC at the Ancient Isle. With his help, you can change the Amber-mutated fish to Revitalized or Purified mutations.
Treasure Chests
These chests spawn when players find the corresponding Treasure Maps, and among all the possible drops from the chest, you can get a fish with a unique Sunken mutation.
Nuke Explodes
When using Nuke, all fish in the explosion zone receive a Nuclear mutation in Fisch. This effect lasts up to 30 minutes, after which players will not be able to get a Nuclear catch.
Baits
Another good way to obtain rare mutations is through bait. Some of them not only increase your stats but can also mutate your catch, although they are quite rare:
- Chocolate Fish – Chocolate mutation.
- Holly Berry – Jolly mutation.
- Lucky – Blarney mutation.
- Aurora Bait – Aurora mutation.
Unique Locations
Also, some locations in Fisch have unique mutations. So, if you’re looking to get Electric or Abyssal mutations, you should fish in these locations:
