Getting every rod in Fisch will cost more than two-and-a-half million dollars: a princely sum that most players won’t be able to afford. With this in mind, players should instead focus on getting only the best rods in the game, as doing so will enable them to save both their time and their money while catching as many fish as possible.

As of the time of writing, the Seraphic Rod is the best rod in Fisch, thanks both to its incredible stats and its Divine Judgement passive, which is similar to the Orbital Cannon passive found on the Voyager Rod. However, as unlocking the Seraphic Rod requires players to reach Level 500, most players will have to settle for the Rod of the Depths. Its stats aren’t quite as good and it’s not really the best rod for making money, but it’s a lot easier to obtain than the No-Life Rod and its Ghost Manifestation ability offers an equally useful passive. Rounding out the S-Tier rods are the Trident Rod, the Kraken Rod, the Poseidon Rod, the Heaven’s Rod, the King’s Rod, and the Mythical Rod, all of which are great for money-making and catching some of the hardest and largest fish in the game.

Both the Rod of the Forgotten Fang and the Rod of the Eternal King are excellent rods, but their relatively high price tags prevent them from making it into the S-Tier. They can still be incredibly useful, though, with the Rod of the Forgotten Fang serving as the better of the two thanks to its high resilience, its fantastic passive, and its ability to catch even the heaviest of fish. The Celestial Rod isn’t quite as impressive on the stats front and is a lot more reliant on enchants, but if players can trigger its passive ability it suddenly becomes a lot more viable. The Magnet Rod is the best rod in Fisch when it comes to reeling in crates and other non-fish items, while the Aurora Rod comes into its own during the Aurora Borealis. The Summit Rod and Volcanic Rod don’t really excel in any one particular area, but are both solid all-rounders at a fairly reasonable price. By comparison, the Zeus Rod is incredibly expensive, although the Thunderstorm passive makes it one of the best Fisch rods for making money.

The Sunken Rod is one of the best rods in Fisch for getting Treasure Maps, although, somewhat ironically, players will only be able to find the Sunken Rod in a treasure chest. With this in mind, they may have to end up settling for the Precision Rod, which offers the same Lure Speed and Luck stats and a greater weight limit, albeit at a cost. The Reinforced Rod is one of the most cost-effective rods for catching heavier fish and the fact that it works in harmful liquids is a nice bonus, although players will end up having to replace it eventually due to its mediocre stats. The Nocturnal Rod is a must for those who enjoy night fishing, while the Rapid Rod does exactly what it says on the tin and so can be extremely useful for completing Angler Quests.

The Fungal Rod is easily one of the best beginner rods in Fisch thanks to its Luck IV-granting passive ability, and is made all the more impressive by the fact that it can be traded with Agaric for an Alligator in Mushgrove Swamp. The Steady Rod is a great option for those hoping to catch big fish early, although by the time most players find themselves actually needing a 100,000 KG rod, they may well be better off splashing out on the Reinforced Rod instead. All things considered, the Carbon Rod is the best Rod on offer at Marc’s Shop, offering solid stats and a high weight limit for a fairly reasonable price. Some may prefer the Fast Rod for its superior Lure Speed, but most will likely see the Carbon Rod as the better option of the two. The Lucky Rod can be useful during the early stages of the game, but is quickly replaced by the Fortune Rod, so players may want to skip this one if they’re working on a budget.
