Split Fiction Review Embargo Lifts Soon

Split Fiction is one of the most anticipated titles of today. With the official release getting closer, the review embargo for Split Fiction will be lifted very soon.

Made by Hazelight Studios, Split Fiction is already taking the hearts and minds of couples (or duos) everywhere. Brought to us by the same studio that gave us It Takes Two, you play as two friends who are both fiction authors: Mio for sci-fi stories and Zoe for fantasy. They end up trapped in a contraption designed to steal their ideas, and players have to help them escape, with one player being Mio and the other being Zoe. The first trailers already look pretty cool, as the game is taking you through various fantastical locations, each with its own puzzles and challenges. The initial reactions from the players are already positive, but when can we see some “official” reviews? As it turns out, very soon!

Split Fiction Review Embargo Lifts on March 4

According to various sources, the review embargo for Split Fiction lifts on March 4, 2025. Review embargoes are a common trend nowadays, where publishers hold all the reviews until a certain date. This is usually done so all the news and content can drop at the same time, to increase the interest for the game. So, starting tomorrow, we’ll get to see what the critics and folks who had the opportunity to try out Split Fiction have to say about the game.

Comics Gaming Magazine (CMG) shared a short video a while back, showing a part of the game set in the Pig World.

However, even without the “official” reviews, players are already looking forward to the game. “Got this ordered, me and my gf can’t wait!” said FeltzMusic on Reddit, and “This is one of those games I would just throw my money for…” added Stunning_Garage_9012.

Split Fiction is set to release near the end of the week, on March 6, 2025
