We’ve all heard of (and ran from) Bile Titans. Some of us would even love to see them flying. However, some Helldivers 2 players would love to see just regular ol’ Titans in the game. Haven’t seen them yet? Well, you’re in for a treat!
Helldivers Rediscover Titans
Way back when, a little more than a year ago, Helldivers got to see the Intro Cinematic trailer. It featured an unfortunate Super Earth citizen whose family was killed right in front of him. This citizen goes on to invite the players to join Helldivers and spread Managed Democracy.

The trailer showcases different situations in which the Helldivers might end up, and different enemies they might face. Among them, and true veterans might remember this scene, is a Titan (without the signature green stomach) which suffers a blow directly to its head. You can see it at the 1.14 mark in the trailer.

The resurfaced image of this creature prompted many Helldivers 2 players to wonder why there weren’t any Titans in the game. One player asked the community: “Why do we not see non-Bile Titans? One is in the trailer. Hope they recycle the model for a new enemy”.
Could the Titans Ever Appear in the Game?
Funnily enough, this topic turned out to be quite divisive. Helldivers 2 players couldn’t even agree if the Titans would make good enemies. Understandably, many players were confused by what the Titans would even do. Some players suggested they would just run around aggressively? Well, according to many, that could be more than enough! Imagine trying to run away under all that heavy equipment, it would be nearly impossible not to get stomped.
Other players suggested that there never was just a Titan. TheYondant explained: “Headcanon is that it’s a neutered Bile Titan they raised in captivity just to blow its head off on camera. it looks way too calm to be one captured in the field”. This would fit in nicely with the whole propaganda, we have to admit.
However, there might be another explanation. As you might have seen above, this trailer was created by the Goodbye Kansas Studios in collaboration with Arrowhead. So, it’s entirely possible that the lack of the signature green belly was just an oversight.
One player, dieselpook, noted: “The intro movie was created by a separate studio to Arrowhead and that’s why the models are not exactly the same as in-game. Same reason all the guns are missing magazines, the decals on the armour are off, etc. So this IS a bile titan, just not a green one”.
Even though this is the most probable reason, it’s also the most disappointing. So, we’ve decided to continue believing that there are regular Titans, lurking somewhere in the wild. We hope to meet them someday! Until then, the Major Order is in progress, and Claorell is in great trouble. We don’t even want to talk about Moradesh. Let’s meet on Claorell, we can liberate it together. For Liberty and Super Earth.
