A new patch is coming on March 13! The devs shared the exciting news on social media. However, even though the new patch will make some much needed fixes, some Marvel Rivals players are upset that their favorite Hero wasn’t fixed to their liking.
Devs Share the Hero Balancing and Patch Notes
The devs announced the new patch on the evening of March 11. They shared the patch notes, as well as a list of Hero adjustments. Now, even though the patch notes might not be as extensive as some players would like them to be, it’s important for every game to have regular patches, even when a game is already in good condition.
As any other patch, this one contains some optimizations and fixes. General fixes are minor but should improve the QoL. Some Heroes also received fixes for bugged out features. The devs fixed following issues: Loki’s Deathly Illusions, The Thing’s Battlefield Blues, Venom’s Aerial Anomaly, Peni Parker’s Perdu Predicament, Peni’s Spiders Sneaky Escape, Spit vs Sea, Bucky’s Reload Rumble, Hand Hook Confusion, and Wolverine’s Claw Coordination.
As for Hero adjustments, this time, the Human Torch, Iron Man, and Cloak & Dagger profited. The Human Torch and Cloak & Dagger received nice buffs, but Iron Man received a small nerf. You can check out all the balancing changes here.
Marvel Rivals Players Are Salty That One Hero Didn’t Get the Fixes They Asked For
Now, at first glance, these patch notes and Hero adjustments seem quite well-thought-out, but Marvel Rivals players aren’t too happy about some of these. Or, rather, they aren’t too happy about the lack of some fixes. Mostly the ones concerning Peni Parker.
Many Peni mains were disappointed that the devs didn’t fix some issues the player base pointed out. Sonicguy1996 noted: “Not the Peni fixes we need. Her Cyber-Bond is still absolutely broken on the newest map and continues to be inconsistent on any other map”.
Many players agreed. Aberrantkenosis added: “It is so ridiculous that they are addressing two specific niche exploits in a way that will potentially mess up her drones even more, while ignoring all of the issues and broken parts of her kit”.
Another player stated: “I play a decent amount of characters, but every time I see these minor bug fix patches I excitedly open them and am solely looking for something saying Peni’s cyberbond has been fixed. It’s a brutal bug that frequently leads to dying. I’m sure basically every Peni player main is looking for the same thing”.
Now, truth be told, we aren’t Peni mains, but we’ve seen a fair share of them struggling. So, we can only hope the devs will listen to the community once more, and fix what needs to be fixed. In the meantime, enjoy the Galacta’s Cosmic Adventure, and see you out there.
