One Piece Manga Announces New Break Ahead Of Luffy Vs Imu

The One Piece manga endured a rocky start to the beginning of the year due to a plethora of breaks, but it seems to have found some consistency over the course of the last month. One Piece saw a release of three straight chapters recently, but it seems that this run is now coming to an end. After delivering One Piece Chapter 1172, 1173, and 1174, Oda will officially go on break once again, which means that One Piece Chapter 1175 has now officially been delayed. This is significant because, as things stand, this chapter could mark the beginning of the biggest fight in all of the story, that is Luffy vs Imu.

It is no surprise to see the One Piece manga going on break following the release of One Piece chapter 1174. Usually, One Piece drops three chapters in a row, which is then followed by a break from the author of the series, Eiichiro Oda. For quite a while now, Oda has made it a habit to take a break after every three chapters. This allows the author some time to think things through in regards to the story of One Piece, and at the same time, allows him to breathe a sigh of relief and regather his energy once again.

It must be remembered that Oda is old and has been doing One Piece for nearly 30 years now. For him to operate at the highest level possible, he needs these monthly breaks. One Piece breaks ensure that the author stays healthy and is able to deliver the best possible story at the same time. While readers might sometimes be saddened by these breaks, the fact is that Oda should actually be taking more frequent breaks if anything.

One Piece chapter 1174 is set for release on February 15, 2026. Immediately after the release of this chapter, the One Piece manga will go on break, which means there will not be a chapter on February 22, 2026. One Piece will return two weeks after the release of chapter 1174, and it is then that the intense battle between Luffy and Imu will continue.

Following a two-week break after the release of One Piece Chapter 1174, the manga will return on March 1, 2026, with Chapter 1175. It is in this chapter that One Piece fans will get the most anticipated clash of all of One Piece, that is, the battle between Luffy and Imu. Things are heating up in the Elbaf arc of One Piece, and Chapter 1175 is going to be the beginning of the biggest confrontation in this particular arc.

Following the return of the manga in March with Chapter 1175, it is expected to go on another three-chapter run before going on break again. In other words, One Piece will release Chapter 1175, 1176, and 1177 in a row before heading off on another break.

In either case, the manga has finally found some stability in terms of releases after enduring a very difficult start to 2026. Now is the time for Oda to build some consistency, and once he returns from his break, the One Piece manga will be more exciting than ever before.
