Sucker Punch Productions turned up at the February 2026 PlayStation State of Play with a small surprise: a Ghost of Yōtei Legends release date. Ghost of Yōtei Legends launches on March 10 as a free download for all Yōtei owners.
“The fan response to Legends was one of the most rewarding parts of launching Ghost of Tsushima, and we’re so excited to see the mode return for Ghost of Yōtei,” Andrew Goldfarb, Sucker Punch’s head of communications, said in a PlayStation Blog post. “We can’t for you all to dive in! We’ll share regular updates on our social channels, so be sure to follow us for more about Ghost of Yōtei Legends as we get closer to March 10!”
In Ghost of Yōtei Legends, four players team up to tackle demonic versions of the main game’s villains — the Yōtei Six, in this case. You’ll have multiple classes to choose from:
- Samurai
- Archer
- Mercenary
- Shinobi
Each class can use a katana and bow, but Sucker Punch communications manager Andrew Goldfarb said in a PlayStation Blog post that they also have a unique combat styles that build on one of the fighting style Atsu can learn in Yōtei.
Ghost of Yōtei Legends will launch with a few mission types. Survival is one, where you and up to three players face down waves of enemies and control points on the map. You earn blessings for maintaining control and curses for losing control, though Sucker Punch didn’t say what either state entails.
There’s also a story mode, which is a bit more complicated. It involves two players working through 12 missions, but after every three successful missions, you’ll take part in a four-player raid-style attack against one of the Yōtei Six — the Oni, Spider, Snake, or Kitsune. Sucker Punch will add the remaining Yōtei Six in a free “ultimate raid” update planned for sometime in April.
