Best Styx Blades of Greed graphics settings for no lag and max FPS

Styx Blades of Greed is now out on advanced access, with the full launch happening soon, and there are a fair number of settings you should tweak before beginning your adventures.

The performances in the early hours haven’t been poor by a stretch of imagination. However, I encountered occasional stutters and frame drops. Thankfully, you can avoid those issues by slightly changing the in-game settings.

Best Styx Blades of Greed graphics settings

Before I deep dive into the settings that I am using in Styx Blades of Greed, here’s my current setup.

  • AMD Ryzen 5600G
  • 15 GB of DDR5 RAM
  • NVIDIA RTX 3060 12 GB

Here are the current graphics settings that I am using in the early access.

  • Global: Custom
  • Screen Mode: Borderless
  • Resolution: 1920×1080 (will depend on your own setup)
  • View Distance: Medium
  • Anti-Aliasing: High
  • Post processing: Low
  • Global Illumination: Low
  • Reflection: Medium
  • Textures: Medium
  • Effects: Medium
  • Foliage: Low
  • Vertical Sync: Off
  • Upscale Method: DLSS-SR
  • Upscale Mode: Performance
  • Sharpness: 0
  • Frame Generation: Off

If you’re still encountering stutters or frame drops, I recommend reducing everything to Low, as that will reduce stress on your hardware.

  • I have disabled Vertical Sync since it raises hardware consumption. Personally, I have never found many returns from the feature.
  • An Upscale Method should always be enabled. You can switch to FSR if you own an AMD-made card. The mode should always focus on Performance, or at best, Balanced. This will further improve how Styx Blades of Greed will generally run on your system.

This should get the job done and help the game run smoothly on your setup. With the full launch coming in a couple of days, expect to find post-launch patches soon. Some of these patches should ease performance issues if you encounter them.
