PS Plus Monthly Games for March 2026 Wish List

At the recent State of Play, Sony gave PS Plus subscribers a brief look at the future. PS Plus Essential, also known as the free games of the service, will get Big Walk sometime this year. PS Plus Premium is also getting Tekken: Dark Resurrection (PSP version) in March and Time Crisis in May, suggesting there won’t be an addition in April. The PS Plus Extra games for February were also confirmed at the showcase, and while this is a good look at the future, it obviously keeps many secrets.

Right now, PS Plus Premium getting Tekken: Dark Resurrection in March is the only confirmed game for the month. PS Plus is expected to confirm the Essential tier of free games around February 25 before adding them in early March, with the reveal of the PS Plus Extra games coming in the middle of the month.

While predicting what PS Plus will add is impossible, there are a fair few games that would benefit from inclusion on the service. It’s also worth looking at recent patterns. Overall, PS Plus Essential has offered a more mixed selection of games, oftentimes appealing to a specific niche. PS Plus Extra is where Sony goes all out, adding a strong variety of games, while PS Plus Premium just kind of exists. With PS Plus Premium already confirmed for March 2026, it’s worth considering what fits the bill for PS Plus Essential and Extra.

PS Plus Free Games for March 2026 Wish List: Have a Nice Death

Just because PS Plus Essential has been appealing to certain niches doesn’t mean it can’t be a quality game for everyone within that niche. Have a Nice Death is a side-scrolling action game with platforming and roguelite features, like procedural generation and repeat runs, but it is an absolutely charming and fun game. It may appeal to a specific niche, but at the same time, it’s so good that it could be enjoyed by anyone.

PS Plus Free Games for March 2026 Wish List: Hitman World of Assassination

This may be bigger than what the PS Plus free games for January and February included, but the headliner really needs to be something special. Hitman World of Assassination would show that Sony cares about PS Plus Essential and does not fully rely on the Extra games to deliver value for subscribers. At the same time, it’s developed by IO Interactive—the same studio behind the upcoming release of 007 First Light. They may be different types of games, but what better way to pass the time than to revisit IO Interactive’s best?

PS Plus Free Games for March 2026 Wish List: My Time at Portia

Have a Nice Death may focus on a beloved genre with a specific niche, but the same logic can be applied to My Time at Portia. This crafting game can appeal to those who enjoy detailed crafting experiences, while it’s complete with several simulation and farming simulator-like features (excellent for PS Plus). In encouraging players to look into new genres, there’s hardly a better choice than My Time at Portia. My Time at Sandrock would work too, but it’s usually better to go back to the original before playing a follow-up.

Black Myth Wukong – While currently available as a 2-hour free trial on PS Plus Premium, moving the full game to PS Plus Extra could be wise. It’s not like PS Plus’ tiers are immune to double-dipping. In this case, fans would get a solid game, and it could build hype as Game Science boosts marketing for the sequel: Black Myth Zhong Kui.
Nioh 2 – With Nioh already on PS Plus Extra and the recent release of Nioh 3, this could be a good way to boost sales for Nioh 3 while giving fans who have beaten it a little more to play. The best time to add Nioh 2 to PS Plus was before Nioh 3′s release, but the second-best time is now.
Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle – Horror games can do well on PS Plus, and after beating Resident Evil Requiem (since it releases at the end of February), some fans may want a little more survival horror in their life.
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes – There are plenty of LEGO games on PS Plus, and a lot of hype around the upcoming release of LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight. Adding one of the best LEGO games of all time to PS Plus Extra ahead of time seems like a no-brainer.
Satisfactory – This co-op factory-building game is a blast with friends, and adding it to PS Plus only ensures increased co-op gameplay. It’s a win for everyone, including your friends.
