Kaido, also known as the King of Beasts, was one of the most powerful characters in One Piece at one point. Kaido belonged to the Four Emperors of the Sea and was first brought up in the story around the Water 7 arc. However, it wasn’t until the events of Wano that Kaido’s character was fully fleshed out. In Wano, it was established that Kaido was the strongest creature in the world of One Piece, and that his powers made him the strongest pirate alive as well.

Now, in the Final Saga, Kaido no longer appears to be as powerful as he once was. In fact, even his title of being the strongest creature in the world has now been taken by a completely new individual, and that is none other than Loki. Being referred to as the strongest thing in the world in One Piece Chapter 1174, Loki has officially dethroned Kaido as the strongest dragon in One Piece.

Kaido was one of the Four Emperors of the Seas in the world of One Piece, and officially known to be the strongest creature. This is because Kaido held the power of the Mythical Zoan Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryu. This Devil Fruit allowed him to transform into an eastern dragon with immense power and nigh indestructibility. Kaido also had control over certain elements like wind, fire, and lightning, and this truly made him a terrifying creature to deal with. Among all the animals that existed in the One Piece world, Kaido was clearly stated to be the strongest. However, that no longer appears to be the case after the fall of Kaido in the Wano Country Arc.

While Kaido was an eastern dragon, Loki’s Devil Fruit grants him the powers of a western dragon, likely the Nidhogg from Norse mythology. This dragon is absolutely massive in size, and Kaido looks like a tiny worm compared to him. However, that is not the only disparity between the two. Loki’s Devil Fruit is far more powerful than that of Kaido. It is said to be the National Treasure of Elbaf, and more than that, it is known to hold the power to destroy the entire world. In terms of offensive output and defensive capabilities, Loki’s Devil Fruit ability is simply far superior.

Added to that is the fact that Loki wields the power of Ragnir, a legendary hammer, and with that, Loki officially becomes the strongest Mythical Zoan user in the world of One Piece right now, likely even above the likes of Luffy at this point in time. Kaido’s dragon abilities were certainly very impressive, and his overall power was definitely tremendous, but he was not as strong as Loki. It must be remembered that Loki took down King Harald, and that’s someone even stronger than Rocks D. Xebec. Loki’s powers are known to be strong enough to destroy the entire world, and that is something Kaido can never achieve.
