Scale the Towering Apartment Building in High on Life 2 With This Puzzle Guide

Once you’ve ticked off your first two bounties in High on Life 2, Senator Muppy Doo and Billionaire Larry Pinkstock, you have the option to have dinner with your mom or take out your next target, Finance Wiz James Stevenson. If you chose the latter, or already rescued your dad from the Ego Chamber after your dinner with mom, you’ll find a security guard blocking your way to the elevator that would usually take you to Stevenson’s penthouse.

This means you need to climb the exterior of the building with your skateboard and perform a few Gatlian Trick Shots. There are a few tricky puzzles between you and the top-level apartment, so here’s how to find a different way up to the penthouse in High on Life 2.

How to Complete the Escape Room in High on Life 2

You get 60 minutes to solve each puzzle in High on Life 2, but they can be done in 60 seconds.

High on Life 2: How to Find a Different Way Up to the Penthouse

You start this bounty by heading to Circuit Arcadia, Downtown, and following your Info Scanner to the apartment building. Once you’ve been rebuffed by the security guard, exit the building and turn left until you see a truck with the words ‘Slime Drive Mattress & Other Stuff Movers’ on the back. Use Travis’s Trick Shot on the truck to lift it up, then bounce on the mattress on the floor up to it and onto the ledge above that. Next, follow the path laid out by your Info Scanner — use your skateboard on the ramps and grind rails up to the rooftop gardens.

In the first garden, jump on the translucent red platform in between the two benches in the center up to the ledge. Now, press the red button on the console to raise the sprinklers, which you can grind on to get over the wall straight ahead and into the next area.

If you follow the path in the next area, you’ll see a pulsating blue plant bulb, which you need to shoot to open the platform released by the fan plants to which it’s connected. Jump on the fan and use it to jump over the ledge and into the next area.

Next, shoot the plant bulb straight ahead of you at the back wall. Once you’ve got up to the fan plant you’ve just opened, turn around until you see a circular vent with a spinning blade — use Sweezy’s Trick Shot, just like you may have done to get the Vet Building keycard, to slow the blade so you can jump through. Drop through the hole in the back of the room, turn around, and press the red button to turn on the sprinklers and open the door that lets you back out into the garden.

Straight ahead of you as you exit the door is another plant bulb to shoot. Jump on the fan and onto the ledge, and follow the path around and onto the sprinkler. The red button just rose. Using the sprinkler to traverse the gap and onto the next ledge starts your journey through a tunnel towards a large terrarium — all you need to do here is shoot multiple plant bulbs and use the fan platforms to get to the top. After some more skateboarding, grinding, and sprinklers, you’ll be in the next area.

When you’re there, to the left, at the top of the stairs, is a doorway blocked by a fan plant. Look up and to the left to find the bulb that needs to be shot to remove the fan. Once inside, press the red button on your right to raise the sprinklers and turn around and head into the room with orange slime on the floor.

Next, pick up the Luglox from the left side of this room and use it to jump up to the ledge behind you. Remember, you’ll need to use Sweezy’s Trick Shot on the Luglox to inflate it so you can bounce on it. At the top of the ledge, use Sweezy’s special ability again to slow the blades of another vent.

Now, jump on the plant ahead of you and up to another ledge and grind along the sprinklers across to a platform with another plant bulb. Shoot that to open the connected fan plant and jump onto it. From here, if you look up to the next ledge, there’s a thin red-and-black strip on which you can use Gus’ Trick Shot to give yourself the platform you need to bridge the rest of the gap to the next ledge.

This takes you to the final puzzle area. Start by using Sweezy’s Trick Shot on the vent to your right. Pick up the Luglox inside and place it just to the left of the vent. Use Sweezy’s Trick Shot again to inflate it and up into the passageway. Inside is a plant bulb on a lower level, but you can just shoot that without heading down there.

The plant bulb you just shot reveals a spot where you can fire Sheath’s spikes. The first spike you need to fire is on the lower level of the area below where you started. Connect this first spot to the two amplifiers on the brightly-colored tower of three squares in the center of the area. You’ll need to shoot the bottom two squares so they’re facing towards the side of the area you just placed your Luglox.

Next, connect the two amplifiers on the tower, then connect them to the Luglox to complete the circuit. If an obstacle is blocking the path of the spikes to the Luglox, you’ll need to move it so there’s a clear path to the Luglox and the final spike point you revealed with the plant bulb at the start of the puzzle.

This opens a door below the final spike point — pressing the red button inside this room raises up two sprinklers, which you can ride to the next ledge. Don’t miss the Luglox on a small platform straight ahead of the sprinklers. From here, all you need to do is jump up to the exterior of the Finance Wiz’s penthouse.

When you approach the front door of the penthouse, Lizzie warns you that it may be protected by top-of-the-line security equipment. It turns out, however, this isn’t the case: you can just shoot the doors to get in, simply open the door, or use Knifey’s tether to the upper-right of the front entrance and smash through the glass.

It doesn’t matter what method you use, but what does matter is that you’re inside. The thing is, your bounty isn’t: now you need to search for clues to find James Stevenson in High on Life 2 to carry on the main story.
