“Spin to Win!” YouTuber Shares Four Builds for Malevolent in The First Descendant

Malevolent is becoming the new craze in TFD right now, especially when facing hordes of enemies. So much so that a popular The First Descendant YouTuber shares not one but four builds for Malevolent that you can find useful.

Introduced in Season 2 Episode 2: Beyond the Void, Malevolent is a Hand Cannon whose shots create spinning razor-sharp cogs, which can then bounce and hit nearby enemies multiple times. Since each shot fired creates those cogs, Malevolent can decimate groups of enemies with ease, so you can understand the appeal of this weapon. Gaming veterans can also notice the similarities between Malevolent and the Ripper from Unreal Tournament (1999). Weapon-focused Descendants are getting more and more popular, especially with the introduction of Serena and Weapon Cores, and weapon builds have become the new hot topic. And on that note, here are four builds for Malevolent, as shared by a popular The First Descendant YouTuber, OrneryBiscuit.

OrneryBiscuit Shares Four Builds for Malevolent in The First Descendant

OrneryBiscuit, a fairly popular TFD YouTuber, posted a video where she talked about Malevolent, how and why it is popular, compares it to other similar weapons (like why it is better than Albion Cavalry Gun, especially for Void Erosion Stage 30), and what the best builds for it are. Concerning the last one, she shared four of them, with additional information, like which Weapon Cores you should be aiming for, what bonuses the gun should have (the “Readjustment” ones), and a couple of sidenotes for each. There is an all-around build, one for those who double down on Crits, one for Gley, and one for Serena.

Of course, these are just guidelines, and you can adjust them to your liking. In any case, Malevolent is gearing up to be the next best thing when it comes to clearing mobs, and as the majority of end-game content now has swarms of enemies at every corner, getting the best build for it is a sensible thing to do. And finally, a big thanks to OrneryBiscuit for sharing these builds with the TFD community.
