Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is the awesome-looking upcoming game from Sandfall Interactive, and the devs have just officially revealed how long the main story will be.
Set in the Belle Époque-inspired fantasy universe, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 follows the story of a group of Expeditioners, trying to set everyone free of The Paintress, a god-like being who erases people from existence with a single stroke of her brush. The game already looks amazing, and the release date is set for April 24. With the story hopefully being as awesome as it sounds, the players are wondering how long the main quest will be. Thankfully, the devs gave an official answer.
The Devs Reveal How Long the Main Story in Clair Obscur Expedition 33 Will Be
On April 4, the Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 official X profile posted:
- 30+ hours of main game, plus PLENTY more for side content
- Hugely talented EN and FR voice cast
- Baguettes
- $49.99 USD (or your local equivalent)
With more than 30 hours for the main story, as well as “plenty” more for the side ones, we are looking at approximately 50-60 hours of playtime, give or take.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is gearing up to be one of the best releases of 2025, with a superb voice cast, like Charlie Cox (Daredevil: Born Again), Jennifer English (Baldur’s Gate 3), Kirsty Rider (Sandman), Shala Nyx (The Old Guard), Andy Serkis (The Lord of the Rings), Ben Starr (Final Fantasy XVI), and more. And let’s not forget the fact that it will be PS5 Pro Enhanced.
The fans are amazed by the “reasonable pricing”, especially considering the news that the new Mario Kart will cost around $80. The Clair Obscur team said that they want to keep the game accessible to a larger audience, hence the “smaller” price tag than what you’d expect. This one is definitely on our wishlist!
