Monkey D. Luffy is one of the strongest characters in the world of One Piece right now. After the Wano Country Arc, Luffy officially attained the title of a Yonko and became feared all over the world. He also attained a bounty of 3 billion berries, which goes to show that he is a threat to the vast majority of the characters.
Luffy can officially fight on par with some of the strongest characters in the One Piece world, and he also possesses some incredibly powerful abilities that can allow him to take down enemies such as the Admirals of the Navy as well as the Yonko. Luffy primarily utilizes his Devil Fruit and high-level Haki in combat to get the better of his enemies, and he most certainly has some incredibly strong techniques that can allow him to defeat a Yonko in a single shot.
One Piece: 39 Strongest Characters In The Series
These are the strongest characters to sail the seas of the One Piece world.

King Kong Gun
- Used Via: Gear 4 and Mini Gear 4
One of the strongest powers that Luffy has is the ability to utilize the King Kong Gun. This ability is accessible to him in Gear 4 and sees him pump an incredible amount of air into his arm to make it absolutely massive. Then, Luffy unleashes his massive fist onto his enemy from above and crushes them with overwhelming force. This attack was used by Luffy to defeat Doflamingo. Now that he is a Yonko, Luffy can coat this attack in incredible amounts of Conqueror’s Haki and then bring it down on his enemy with overwhelming force. With highly refined Ryuo and Conqueror’s Haki, King Kong Gun should be strong enough to take down a powerful Yonko with ease.
It becomes even more surprising to know that Luffy can now utilize Gear 4 without activating it in his full body. As such, Luffy can pull out abilities like King Kong Gun very easily now, without even completely turning into Gear 4, and do it multiple times in a battle. In fact, even things like King Kong Gatling should be possible for him now as well. When covered in the Color of the Supreme King, this attack will most definitely take out a Yonko.

Over Kong Gun
- Used In: Gear 4 And Mini Gear 4
Over Kong Gun is one of Luffy’s latest techniques that he developed in the battle against Kaido. It simply is a much larger version of Kong Gun, but coated in Conqueror’s Haki and launched with much more ferocious force. Over Kong Gun was so strong that it dealt some deadly damage to Kaido as well, but because he was a dragon with incredible resilience and durability, Kaido was able to tank most of this damage. However, not all Yonko are built like that.
For instance, Shanks is just a normal human without any of that additional durability. Meanwhile, Blackbeard, despite being incredibly tough, is not as tough as Kaido, and Big Mom isn’t as tough either. If Luffy were to utilize a powerful version of Over Kong Gun against them at the end of a battle, it would certainly be enough to take them out, especially now that he has gained incredibly high mastery of Gear 4.
3
Gomu Gomu no Gigant
While technically not just an attack, Gomu Gomu no Gigant is one of the strongest abilities that Luffy has in his arsenal. It is only usable to Luffy in Gear 5, and with it, he can essentially turn himself into a Giant. This allows Luffy to fight with much more ferocity in battle and gives him an incredibly high level of power.
Clearly, against strong and massive enemies, Gomu Gomu no Gigant is an incredible power for Luffy to have, and it will easily help him crush enemies with ease. This ability was used against Kaido, and it certainly made a difference. When utilized against Kizaru, it once again allowed him to completely immobilize the Admiral on more than one occasion, and even make him bleed just by squeezing him between his hands. This ability can be made even stronger when combined with high-level Supreme King Haki, and that should be enough for Luffy to take down several strong characters.
2
Dawn Thor Rifle
In the Elbaf arc, Luffy has continued to showcase his incredible mastery over the powers of Gear 5. In the battle against the Holy Knights, he used an incredibly powerful technique known as Dawn Thor Rifle. This is a rather situational technique, as it requires Luffy to grab a lightning bolt from the sky. As he does so, he is able to then create a strong Thor Rifle, which is then coated in the power of Supreme King Haki and high-level lightning.
One Piece: Luffy’s Strongest Power Ups Ranked (Gear 5 Isn’t #1)
Luffy has received many amazing power-ups in One Piece over the years, but Gear 5 isn’t the strongest of them all.
-
When the enemies are hit with this attack, they are completely crushed and paralyzed. Luffy utilized this power on Sommers, and his body was completely shattered after being hit with it. Even against a powerful Yonko, this attack can prove to be incredibly deadly and will most likely knock them out, unless they have incredible durability comparable to Kaido. Even someone like Kaido would suffer tremendous damage from this ability, especially now that Gear 5 is far more refined than it ever was.

1
Bajrang Gun
When it comes to the strongest attack that Luffy has that can essentially take out anyone in the world of One Piece, Bajrang Gun comes to mind. This attack was utilized by Luffy in the Wano Country Arc in the battle against Kaido. It was his final attack that he launched at the Yonko, which managed to completely crush him. Bajrang Gun sees Luffy enlarge his fist to an incredible size that can be compared to an island itself. He retracts his fist in a style similar to Gear 4 and even coats his fist in flames. Utilizing high-level Conqueror’s Haki and Armament Haki, Luffy is able to deal incredible amounts of internal damage to his enemies and crush them completely.
Even the strongest of Yonko would fall with a hit from Bajrang Gun, and that’s how powerful it is. Of course, this power also takes a lot out of Luffy, but with time, he can go on to learn to utilize it multiple times in a single battle. Things like Bajrang Gatling might even become possible for Luffy to utilize as he continues to develop Gear 5. At the end of the day, Luffy is one of the strongest fighters in One Piece, and he has multiple other abilities that can easily take down a Yonko as well if utilized properly. Fans will most definitely see him use these powers in the Final Saga as it continues, and that is certainly going to be incredibly exciting.
