‘Almost complete’ Titanfall 3 features Apex Legends cast, multiplayer, and campaign, leaks say

This “Titanfall 3 is actually happening” rumor continues to gain steam, but this time, with some more exciting details behind the info coming in from the latest leaks.

Apex Legends leaker Osvaldatore, who started up the rumor mill bigtime last week, dropped another bombshell in the early hours of April 9 with further details about the long-anticipated sequel to Titanfall 2, which they say is “almost complete.”

Titanfall 3 is being developed on Unreal Engine 5, according to Osvaldatore, and will feature a singleplayer campaign and live-service multiplayer with battle passes, which has become the industry standard. It will also feature “some returning Apex characters” and a weather system.

But the leaker also teased how there will be a huge new mode that has become prevalent since Titanfall 2 dropped. Osvaldatore says the main mode of Titanfall 3 is called Extraction, and they posted an altered Escape From Tarkov image that says “Escape From The Frontier: Titanfall 3,” teasing how the mode will be similar to the popular loot, shoot, and escape mode.

Don’t fret, though, because they also said “all Titanfall 2 classic modes” will also be making a comeback, including Team Deathmatch, Control, and Arenas. Still, I’m interested in seeing how an Extraction mode would utilize Titans, because that would be one of the more thrilling ways to jump on a dropship and get out of harm’s way with loot.

How would Titanfall’s abilities, jetpacks, wall-running, and other mechanics work in an extraction mode? This all sounds very interesting, especially with a loot pool of returning weapons from the series that have been made even more famous in Apex since.

Obviously, all of this must be taken loosely until there’s official confirmation from EA and Respawn Entertainment. But with the summer season rapidly approaching, we’re in for a number of big announcements for games launching in 2025 and beyond. Titanfall 3 could well be one of those games.

Update on April 9 at 12:30pm ET: Well, it was fun while it lasted. GiantBomb’s Jeff Grubb said on a new episode of Game Breaking News podcast that the rumors are “not real,” while speculating that Respawn may be experimenting with different things that have Titans in them, but TF3 being “almost complete” isn’t true.
