Naturally, it was met with excitement from the whole community, as the animated backgrounds are something that the players have requested for a while now. Now we have animated backgrounds for Ghost of Yotei, God of War, Stellar Blade, Horizon games, and more. However, not everyone got those backgrounds at the same time, so folks are repeatedly asking how to get them. And we are here to offer some help.
PlayStation 5 – How to Access the New Animated Backgrounds
To access the new animated background, follow these simple steps. First, be sure that your console is up to date, ie, check for system updates.
- To do so, from your Settings screen, go to System and then System Software.
- There, look for System Software Update and Settings, select it, and finally select Update System Software, to update your system and hopefully get the new animated backgrounds.
Now that the system is updated, how to find the backgrounds themselves? It is pretty simple.
- In the upper-right corner of your Welcome screen, you have three buttons: Edit Widgets, Change Preset, and Change Background.
- Naturally, you are looking for Change Background.
- From there, go to From Games, and there your animated background should be waiting for you. Simple as that!
