The New Exosuit Support Bay Is Here, and Helldivers 2 Players Aren’t Even Trying to Hide Their Disappointment

The New Exosuit Support Bay Is Here, and Helldivers 2 Players Aren’t Even Trying to Hide Their Disappointment

The previous Major Order was quite an exciting one! The players were given a choice between two new upgrades for the DSS. Helldivers 2 players could choose between fighting on the bug front and getting the Expanded Convocation Bay, or fighting on the bot front and getting the Exosuit Support Bay. They chose the latter. While the Exosuit Support Bay truly does what it’s meant to do, Helldivers expected more.

Helldivers Completed the Major Order!

As always, when a Major Order finishes, Helldivers get a briefing that shares details of their accomplishments. This time was no different! Since the players were victorious, they managed to get the upgrade they were fighting for.

The briefing explained that liberating Wezen not only helped secure the future prosperity of citizens but also secured the necessary resources. The Exosuit Support Bay has been added to the Democracy Space Station.

As the High Command previously noted, the Exosuit Support Bay will reduce Exosuit Stratagem cooldown by 35% on the orbited planet. That’s quite a high number!

The High Command concluded: “The Arsenal of Freedom continues to grow more powerful. In the arms race against the triumvirate of enemy belligerents, there can be no relent. And with this victory, we take one stride closer to permanent, lasting security”.

Players Expected More From the Exosuit Support Bay

So, what’s the problem with this upgrade? Well, the Exosuit Support Bay does exactly what it is supposed to do, but the Helldivers 2 community expected more benefits from it.

One player, Dragonaut, explained: “…with the Exosuit cooldown now being 6:30. The FRV is unaffected. However, this means little as there is still a hard limit on the amount of Exosuits you can call down per mission, that limit being 3. This passive ability has done nothing to increase the amount of Exosuits we can call down during a mission, simply granting us the ability to blow through them faster, leaving us one stratagem fewer for the remainder of the mission”.

Even though the High Command was quite clear on what the effect of this Bay would be, many players expected they’d get at least one more mech. Unfortunately, that isn’t the case. The Exosuit Support Bay is just another one of the recent disappointments.

However, don’t worry, Helldiver! There is a lot we can all look forward to. The new Major Order sends Helldivers back into the Gloom! So, take a deep breath and let’s dive together. Don’t forget to have some fun. For Liberty and Super Earth.
