As is with every TFD live broadcast to date, there is a Q&A session at the end. The April devlive had a lot to cover, but they did leave some room at the end to answer some burning questions from The First Descendant community, via a short Q&A session.
Just a few days ago, we had the long-awaited April live broadcast with TFD devs. It dealt with numerous important subjects, like the infamous Ines nerf and the developers’ commentary on that. Then the devs showcased a bit of Ultimate Blair and gave us a sneak peek of the upcoming Dynamic Motion feature. And finally, it was time to answer some players’ questions, and they did answer quite a few.
Nexon Answers Questions by The First Descendant Community in the April Q&A
A lot of questions were asked, and we have covered the majority. The ones we avoided, their answers usually boil down to “we can’t say anything at the moment” or “we will check with the team”.
Q: Skill Effect Intensity Option
A: “The direction we’ve come up with would be to give players an option to enable/disable these effects. But it is not going to be a mere On/Off system, it is going to be more of an option that gives the players delicate control over what quality of the effects they seek.” In other words, they will probably implement a “slider” of sorts, that controls the intensity of Skill Effects.
Q: How will the Party Finder Work?
A: “It is going to be available in the menu, and you’re also going to have a ‘Tag’ option. Say if your tag is ‘Catalyst Farming’, then you’ll be able to find players with the same tag, so that you are partied up with the players who have the same goals.”
Q: Plans for Luna
A: “We’ll have to evaluate the results of this patch first, and then design the additional and subsequent updates. We do have some plans for Luna, but it is early to share anything now, so we’ll do that at the next chance we have.”
Q: Will Nvidia’s DLSS4 be available as an option in-game?
A: “The option is being developed so that it can be enabled in-game, not outside (with the Nvidia app), but we’ll have to check the exact date.”
Q: More Season 3 Details?
A: More details about Season 3 will be revealed at PAX East (May 11)
Q: More Exclusive Skins?
A: “It is something we are considering.”
Q: What are the rewards for the Void Erosion Purge Challenge Mode?
A: Each Descendant will get a number of Weapon Cores after completing each level, once per account.
Q: Upcoming Collaborations
A: “We have a few in our plans. Once things are confirmed and fixed, we will share the details.”
Q: When is the next Descendant rebalance patch?
A: “We don’t have a definite date for that. What we’re doing at the moment is analyzing the result of the last adjustment. The issue that we are facing now is that these OP Descendants are crumbling the difficulty structure of in-game content. We are trying to take a very discreet approach to adjusting Descendants because we don’t want a situation where we can’t do anything about the new Descendants once they become too OP and [ruin] the whole game structure. Once we have a clear plan and schedule, we will announce it.”
Q: Will the 21:9 Ratio for Photo Mode be available?
A: “We’ll have to go back to the office and talk to the relevant team about whether it’s possible.”
Q: Arche Tuning Sockets
A: “The idea is to add more Nodes to the board, and in the Node, you can add a socket where you can install an item. These items are farmable, and once you gain the item and put it in the socket, you will get some bonus effects.
And that is all. As mentioned, more will be answered during the next livestream, on PAX East 2025, on May 11.
