Solo Leveling is crossing over with a video game. Netmarble has announced that its collectible RPG Seven Knights Re:BIRTH will host a collaboration event with the hit anime series, marking the game’s first crossover since launch.
The announcement arrived alongside a teaser trailer released on March 9. The video gives a short look at how the Solo Leveling universe will appear inside Seven Knights Re:BIRTH. The collaboration update is scheduled to arrive on March 19.
According to Netmarble, the event will feature a special collaboration storyline titled “Hunters and Adventurers.” The story begins with the Red Gate phenomenon, which causes the worlds of Solo Leveling and Seven Knights Re:BIRTH to intersect.
The event narrative connects to events before the Jeju Island raid arc in Solo Leveling. After a confrontation with the Queen Ant during the battle, an ant swarm escapes the conflict and ends up passing through a Red Gate. That gate leads to the Dragon Ruins, the setting of Seven Knights Re:BIRTH, which sets up the crossover storyline between the two worlds.
Several characters from Solo Leveling will appear as part of the collaboration. Sung Jinwoo, Cha Hae-in, Yoo Jinho, and Lee Joohee are confirmed to be featured. Netmarble says the characters will appear with animated abilities and artwork designed to match the visual style of Seven Knights Re:BIRTH.
The game is also running a social media campaign tied to the collaboration. From March 10 to March 18, players can share the teaser video using designated hashtags and post the link on the official forum’s event board. If the teaser reaches 200 total shares, players will receive milestone rewards after the collaboration update launches, including 10 Key Bundles and 10 Hero Summon Vouchers.
Seven Knights Re:BIRTH builds on the original Seven Knights mobile RPG, one of Netmarble’s long-running flagship franchises. The original game crossed more than 100 million cumulative downloads worldwide and became one of the company’s most recognisable titles. Re:BIRTH retains the characters, combat systems, and world of the original while updating the gameplay with modern mechanics.
The crossover also arrives during a busy period for the Solo Leveling franchise. Publisher Yen Press recently confirmed that Solo Leveling: Ragnarok, the sequel webtoon series, will receive an official English release. The story continues the world of the original series but shifts focus to Sung Suho, the son of Sung Jinwoo.
Solo Leveling began as a South Korean web novel written by Chugong before receiving a hugely popular webtoon adaptation illustrated by the late DUBU of Redice Studio. The story follows Sung Jinwoo, a weak hunter who gains the ability to level up like a video game character after surviving a deadly dungeon incident. As he grows stronger, he uncovers secrets about the gates, monsters, and the larger conflict surrounding the hunter system.
The franchise expanded further with its anime adaptation produced by A-1 Pictures. The series quickly became one of the most watched anime titles on streaming platforms after its debut, bringing the story to a much wider audience outside the webtoon community.
