Since it’s not a day-one title, The Patrick Star Game is available across every Xbox Game Pass tier besides Core. In terms of critical acclaim, this isn’t exactly the most renowned SpongeBob SquarePants game ever made, as underlined by its 64 average rating on OpenCritic. How Long Will SpongeBob SquarePants: TPSG Stay on Xbox Game Pass?

SpongeBob SquarePants: The Patrick Star Game is the third PHL Collective-developed title to be offered to Microsoft’s subscribers. The last one, DC League of Super-Pets: The Adventures of Krypto and Ace, was only part of the service for a year, leaving in September 2023. On the other hand, Ben 10: Power Trip reached Xbox Game Pass all the way back in December 2021 and is still part of the platform’s content catalog. Based on this track record, SpongeBob SquarePants: TPSG seems likely to stay on the service for at least a year.

The next Xbox Game Pass catalog update is scheduled for April 17, when the service will add two new titles: Tempopo and Crime Scene Cleaner. The latter has a fairly self-explanatory name, while the former is a psychedelic platformer with puzzles and creature collection. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Towerborne, and Far Cry 4—in that order—are then scheduled to reach Xbox Game Pass over the final seven days of April 2025.

Microsoft’s subscription service is also losing half a dozen titles on April 30, with the upcoming departures including Have a Nice Death and Sniper Elite 5. Overall, Xbox Game Pass is on course to remove 13 games this month, while adding 14 others. This will make April the first month with a net gain for the XGP library since January, which also saw Microsoft add one more game than it removed (13 vs. 12).
