Green Diary 1
During Chapter 5, you will collect a Rusty Key that is used to open the door with the rusted keyhole in Kurosawa House. As you approach the entrance to Kurosawa House at the north end of the map, the Reunited Youth will appear to your right, and Green Diary 1 is at his feet. Interact with that object to collect the document and a Broken Phosphophyllite and to start the Ryozo Munakata side story.
Investigate Kureha Shrine
Head to Kureha Shrine at the northwest corner of the map and use the deck to get behind the building. When you reach the back, snap a photo of the Boy Searching Shrine and collect Green Diary 3, which appears on the ground at the spirit’s feet.
Complete Chapter 7
Players should now spend some time working through the main story and return to Ryozo Munakata’s side story after reaching Chapter 8.
Go to the Old Tree
More specifically, players should advance to the point at which they solve the pinwheel puzzle inside the Old Tree during Chapter 8. As soon as you complete that puzzle, equip the Exposure Filter to the Camera Obscura and photograph the Boy Inspecting Old Tree against the north wall of the chamber. Then grab Green Diary 4 from the ground to advance the side story.
Investigate the Storehouse
Now make your way to the Storehouse in the area just east of Osaka House. You will have a chance to photograph the Boy Searching Storehouse as you crouch through the opening in the wooden barrier inside that building, and Green Diary 5 and Bound Diary 4 will appear at his feet.
Go to Misono Hill
The final task is to visit Misono Hill, an area on the south side of the map that you will be very familiar with if you have worked on the Miyako Sudo side story or the Masumi Makimura side story. Here, photograph the Boy Leaving Village and collect Green Diary 6 and a Broken Phosphophyllite from the ground at his feet to complete the Ryozo Munakata side story.
Ryozo Munakata Side Story Rewards in Fatal Frame 2 Remake
The two Broken Phosphophyllites that players collect during the Ryozo Munakata side story combine to create a Phosphophyllite, a charm that causes wraiths to have a harder time seeing you and causes you to automatically evade an attack if it occurs when you lower the Camera Obscura. This combination occurs automatically, and players can equip the Phosphophyllite through the charms tab of the items menu.
