Rune Linguistics is a seasonal task in Diablo 4, and it allows you to farm powerful stones to form Runewords.
While the task itself is simple, you need to remember certain conditions. For starters, you’ll need to have access to the Vessel of Hatred DLC. You’ll also need to have the Rune system unlocked. How to unlock the Rune System in Diablo 4
Once you’ve access to the Vessel of Hatred expansion, complete the Fundamental of Faith quest after progressing through the Nahantu campaign. Once done, speak with Alom in the Kurast Bazaar. This will enable the Rune Crafting priority quest for you to complete.
Finish the quest, and you’ll unlock the Rune system. Now, you can proceed to complete the Rune Linguistics season quest.
How to complete the Ruine Linguistics in Diablo 4
The first step is to find Runes. There are different ways to farm them, and here are some of the activities for you to focus on.
- Elite enemies
- Whisper Caches
- Helltide events
- Nightmare Dungeons
- Seasonal activities
- Defeat Lair Bosses and World Bosses
Some of these activities might require multiple runs for you to find Runes. Once done, you’ll need to create a Runeword. To do so, you’ll have to use one Rune of Ritual and one Rune of Invocation. Then, you need to slot them into a single item that has two slots.
The Rune of Ritual must be on the top scoket, and the Rune of Invocation must be on the bottom. This is mandatory for you to complete the objective.
Finally, you have to use the Offering system to activate the Runeword. The Rune of Ritual will generate the offering based on the defined condition, while the Rune of Invocation will trigger a bonus effect upon consuming it (the offering).
Once the Runeword is triggered, it will complete the Rune Linguistics seasonal task.
