Sniper Elite 3 has disappeared from the PS4’s PlayStation Store without any prior announcement. Sniper Elite 3 is a third-person shooter from Rebellion Developments that was originally released in 2014 for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. The game earned mixed reviews but certainly has its fans, doing well enough to keep the Sniper Elite franchise going strong to this day.

Unfortunately, Sniper Elite 3 has slowly become more difficult for fans of the Sniper Elite franchise to play. Back in 2023, Sniper Elite 3 was suddenly delisted from Xbox with no warning. At the time, it seemed as though something was going to be done to restore the Xbox version of Sniper Elite 3, but that still has yet to happen at the time of this writing. And now Sniper Elite 3 has disappeared from yet another storefront.

As spotted by ComicBook, Sniper Elite 3 is no longer on the PlayStation Store, meaning neither PS4 nor PS5 gamers can purchase a digital version of the game. At this point, anyone that wants to play Sniper Elite 3 on PlayStation or Xbox will have to track down a physical copy if they haven’t already purchased it digitally. No clarification as to why Sniper Elite 3 was delisted has been provided yet, and it’s unclear if there are any plans to bring the game back or not.

It’s definitely disappointing to see Sniper Elite 3 delisted on both PlayStation and Xbox, but the good news is that the game is still accessible on other platforms. Sniper Elite 3 remains available to purchase on Steam, and there is a Nintendo Switch version of the game as well. Considering what happened with the PlayStation and Xbox versions of the game, it’s entirely possible that something similar will happen on Steam and Switch at some point, so those that are interested in playing the game may want to consider picking it up sooner rather than later just to be on the safe side.

While Sniper Elite 3 is slowly disappearing from digital storefronts, its sequels remain readily available. Sniper Elite 4 and Sniper Elite 5 are still available digitally, as is the latest release, Sniper Elite: Resistance. In fact, Sniper Elite: Resistance is on Xbox Game Pass, so Sniper Elite fans on that platform can play it in its entirety without even paying anything beyond what they are already paying for their Xbox Game Pass subscription fee.
